slystallone
The Coventry board have made the 1st move in the division and sacked their manager Andy Thorn after their 2-2 draw with Bury. Quotes along the lines of results & performances from last season we not good enough and a so-so start to this season.... Wonder who'll be the new appointment? opinions4u
Yup. Firing Dickov now would feel premature.

KYLEOAFC
Yeah If we sack him we would still have to pay him. If coventry were stupid enough to give him a job (no chance) we would have compensation! one can dream.

shefflatic
no we wouldn't pay him anything ROLLING CONTRACT = either party can end at any time = we did this to avoid paying compo if it goes tits up again ala Talbot, Moore, Shez, Penney etc
opinions4u
My understanding of a rolling contract is that it always has an agreed term remaining on it. This term would determine the buy-out cost should either party wish to terminate. This differs to a fixed term contract which may be renewed at agreed time points.
