pukka
With Furman in the squad to face Brasil, he must be a decent shout to be playing in january in the tournament. Just what we don't need. We will definitely need reinforcements in.
opinions4u
He's in a squad with bigger names missing. He probably won't be selected. But if he is, we'll know well before the Jan transfer window opens.

opinions4u
http://www.sportscentral.co.za/brazil-v-sa-igesunds-headache/19882/ With Everton’s Steven Pienaar “injured” after Saturday’s defeat against West Brom, Champions club Oldham Athletic’s 24-year-old Dean Furman – not to be confused with Norwich City’s English-qualified South African Andrew Surman – is set to make his debut after appearing as a non-playing sub for Joel Santana against Australia in 2008. HarryBosch
Furman starts tonight in a 5 man midfield against Brazil. What a first cap! If white men can't jump does this pic tell us that black men can't manage or pass sideways? Edited September 7, 2012 by HarryBosch

JonesyOAFC
Fair play to Dean, even if that's the only cap he wins for the Saffa's, making your international debut against Brazil must be a helluva feeling. Lets hope it has a positive impact on his domestic form, this can only boost his confidence...
Twisbrogan
That won't be his last cap. He played well and, in the main, impressed a lot of commentators. Where lots of young players, even at our level, are arrogant tossers - he's not one of them. He's a credit to himself and I'm really pleased for him. dec666
Is he out of contract at the end of the season? It would be just our luck if he goes to the ACON and really impresses then goes for free!

rudemedic
We might need a few more email addresses adding to the following to be able to give him an improved contract extension. Thank you to everybody who provided email addresses in return for marketing and earned money for PlayerShare. The latest score is just short of £1,500 with almost a thousand submissions. The campaign is still going with a new "reward" of £1 per email address. Simply click through to the link below and type in your email address to the Secret Escapes site. If you want to add more than one email address, log out (top right corner) and return to this link and repeat. http://www.spendandraise.com/xtra/shop/goto.php?rb=3-3745 No phone numbers. No home address. The option to unsubscribe if you don't like the email. Although it is unobtrusive. Think parents, grandparents, kids, grand kids, friends, aunts, uncles, work colleagues. Ask all of them to submit their email address. Log out and re-enter secondary email addresses if they want to! If you're a member of other forums or message boards, please circulate the link above and encourage people to use it. Facebook it, Twitter it. Valid personal email addresses only please! Owtb members have done a brilliant job. We can still squeeze more out of this for PlayerShare and Latics. http://www.spendandraise.com/xtra/shop/goto.php?rb=3-3745
rosa
It was a proud moment when he clattered David Luiz into the hoardings.
Diego_Sideburns
Speaking about his debut against Brazil, Furman told the Latics OS: "We have been working on team shape for the last few days, but the manager told us not to take any notice and he was chopping and changing things." Taking no notice of the manager would have come easy to him.
