Kieran Lee no right backs and still doesn't get on the bench

Recommended Posts

Looks like Dave Jones will play players out of position instead of playing Lee. Doesn't make the bench most weeks! Didn't even make the bench their last game and he's their only available RB. Dave Jones says he isn't ready for championship. The guys signed a 3 year contract. I know the money must be good but it must be a kick in the balls thinking you're on the up and up then to find out you can't make the bench.

If Lee doesn't get a game with our current defensive situation. He can forget about his Wednesday career

BenitoCarbone,

Agreed, if he doesn't play on saturday, he never will....

All depends if you want to play football I suppose or are you just happy picking up a fat pay slip.

i heard he was offered back to us along with danny jones on loan for 4months but we couldnt afford any more wages

it's a massive shame what's happened to him. So certain he was going to get some proper footy at that level this year and Jones seemingly is refusing to acknowledge he signed the lad.

Dave Jones is no mug.

But this surprises me.

He wasn't quite ready for leage one football when he 1st arrived here though, it took time.

He's got a 3 year deal, so he has that on his side.

He needs to be patient and bide his time...............though on the face of it, it does seem strange to play a player out of position rather than play a specialist?

Taylor's not getting a game either, his sub apperance the other day was his first since the opening two games of the season. He's mainly been an unused sub or left out completely.

Kuqi's still only played a handful of minutes for Hibs and I see both Reid and KMB have been relegated to the bench at the Cider Drinkers...

Oddly there are suggestions on the SW forum that he has an attitude problem. I find that very hard to believe, unless he misses Latics so much and is sulking!

Would have him back on loan in a heartbeat though if Wabara keeps improving and we extend his loan it'll be Kieran who?

Taylor played today, dont if he started or came on as sub, either way he didnt last long!

red for violent conduct which doesnt sound like him but maybe Milwall fans are rubbing off on him

*edit to say it was a second yellow for leaving his foot in on the keeper, very soft sending off

He did do well, grew into the game and looked like the same old Kieran Lee that did so well for us over a good 2 seasons. Blowing out of his arse after 20 mins but got to grips with the pace and going forward was excellent, best player in a poor Wednesday side against Bolton. He was up against his old mate Chris Eagles and Kevin Davies, two Premership old boys!!

Got crocked in the first minute at Southampton and was made to come off at half time after playing 45 minutes with a nasty hole in his ankle that needed stitching, he's done enough to make the shirt his own, in a game and a half. Won't be fit for tomorrow but may make Burnley on Tuesday; Jones' mind games worked to plan and Kieran responded to his not being ready tag...he's quiet and maybe doesn't show the hunger in his attitude but get him on the field and he'll run through brick walls for you, just like he did on Tuesday, he's got a bright future in front of him.

He was never offered back to us, complete and utter bollocks!!!

Jones signed him when he met him in his home in Cardiff and agreed the deal in Sheffield two days later!!

Jones has not played him due to mind games then?

so its just coincidence that all his regular right backs are injured?

Think you missed the point again Palmer but you always do....mind games as in getting him to prove he was up to it on the pitch, once he got his chance!

Jones said he wasn't ready for The Championship....Kieran proved he was!!

dont make me laugh! telling someone they are not good enough and the having to pick them due to injurys and him being his only fit right back is not mind games

1 game in the league against a struggeling Bolton team and he has proved he is a championship player?

I remember him playing for us once until he dissapeard for nearly 2 years

is that it now? is he first choice full back when the other are all fit again?

no need to PM you Trafford this thread is about Kieron Lee is it not? former Oldham player

factual based debate? im just stating my opinion and asking for yours

in my opinion you dont know what Dave Jones was thinking and neither do I but your version of events may be a little biased.

we will see in the next few weeks when all the full backs are fit - and as i have said before I hope he does well but I have "tagged" him not good enough for the championship.....yet
