BP1960
Assume its to gain match fitness, hope he comes through it ok, we need him for Saturday. http://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/news/article/250912-reserveteam-388543.aspx Edited September 25, 2012 by BP1960
Wardie
Let's hope he bags a few, as well, just to get his boots ready for the weekend.
BP1960
Just wonder if it's worth risking him as I'm a bit concerned about a couple of things; 1. Certain to be very heavy ground conditions - which may take a lot out of him. 2. If the match is called off, will he be match fit enough in PDs eyes to start on Saturday ? Wozzer
Yes we need to play him today, hes unfit. Unfit but more natural talent than the other 10 put together - start him Saturday and haul him off if he collapses.

Start him up front. Simpson on the bench. Tell Furman he's the attacking midfielder too.

Isn't the match at Chapel Road? I think Simpson will start seeing how it's his ex-club. If he can't pull it together for this one, he deserves a prolonged run on the bench. If he doesn't already. I agree with him. So it's how he plays them. They both need to get up the pitch more.
sunshine185
"With James in the team, it gives Dean a bit more of a licence to play a bit further forward." so what the hell happens to this plan on matchdays? Furman is always just in front of the back four with Wes along side him. If its a case of Furman not doing as he's told then drop him until he can follow orders. BP1960
http://www.bbc.co.uk..._medium=twitter Link to article quoting Dickov on his 'strong' midfield pairing and Baxter. oafcprozac
Makes you wonder if he was similarly 'hiding' during the Penney season too - Worthington/Goodwin/A N Other was his minder and he was supposed to get forward but all we saw was him in his own half passing sideways? Time for young Dean to step up as captain he is our onfield leader - Edited September 25, 2012 by oafcprozac
opinions4u
Does that indicate Furman hasn't been doing his job ? More likely it indicates Dickov's been reading owtb and decided to push Furryman up the pitch a bit next week.

bigfatjoe1
one of two reasons? 1. he's got a knock. 2. he was jst being given a run and will start on Saturday. i think the second one...it's time to unleash the soup man!!!

Judging from today's back page, the Chron obviously values the majority of opinions on here - so why not PD ?

RIDICULOUS!!!! lets see how he performs over a couple of 90 mins before singing his praises eh?

It's either tongue-in-cheek or desparation. you might say he's being souped up because we're clinging at straws. btw, careful not to prey to God, that could also be misconstrued by powers greater than Royle.
