opinions4u
Not fussed either way. As Cliff's under contract here I'll stick my neck out and say Byrne!

oafcprozac
Byrne - Clarke was decent and served us well but could be prone to being known as the caucasian Rueben Hazell. Corney was right in insisting that Clarke went back and Tarky was given a run…. Edited October 20, 2012 by oafcprozac
stevesidg
Byrne for me He's solid and reliable , nothing extravagant and seems to read the game well Clarke was ok but prone to getting caught out of position and getting beaten for pace
bluehobbit
Clarke Think Byrne has been awful for most of the season. However he was excellent against both Preston and Sheff United so maybe hes needs a bit of time to settle in. I wish he wouldnt play with his hands so much tho. oafc-latics
i'll decide after today's game, hopefully Byrne!!
the_mighty_bosh
As individual players I'd go for Clarke as he's more mobile, but as Byrne seems to have a stronger influence on the back four I'd take him as he's what we need right now. stargazer
Clarke played well today , but Byrne is solid as a rock every game , never puts himself in a bad position & consistently does his job , he is just what we needed at the back imo. welshgaz
Clarke played well until the introduction of smith. That lad has to go along way to get some credit on here! Byrne tremendous again.
Twisbrogan
Byrne's clear priority is to defend. Strikes me as the type that wakes up in the morning and the first thing he thinks about is defending and clearing the ball. I rate Clarke but every now and again he seems to happen across a forward who takes him out of his comfort zone, just as Smith did today. Ernie For England
Cliff Byrne every day of the week! Clarke was good for us but in my opinion Byrne is better...
eyres_28
Byrne. His lack of pace is not such a concern as he reads the game so well, whereas I was always very very aware of how much Clarke struggled against pace - Bryne hides it better! welshgaz
Since moving to cb he has been very consistent. 11 conceded in 12 games. Decent record that.
Roger Ritchie
Clarke was a bit overrated by many in my opinion. Terrible on the ball. Worked hard though which is all we ask.
welshgaz
We love a grafter don't we. Derbs got a tremendous ovation yesterday from the mainstand for pressing the ball.

slystallone
We love a grafter don't we. Derbs got a tremendous ovation yesterday from the mainstand for pressing the ball. We like a striker who is prepared to put a shift in in the MSP! It also helps when they're a quality as Derbyshire is too mind!!
ajw65
Since moving to cb he has been very consistent. 11 conceded in 12 games. Decent record that.
