jsslatic
Surely worth an appeal. Yeovil players' reaction got him sent off.
rudemedic
Surely worth an appeal. Yeovil players' reaction got him sent off. My thoughts exactly, count how long after before the ref gets there- he is a good 40 yards away.
Latics_Fanatic
it's a hard one.. i can see why he was sent off.. a yellow card though at most - i have a feeling we won't win the appeal if we choose to make one!
Hometownclub
He was fully entitled to challenge for the ball, their players reaction got him sent off. It was never a red, but we have no chance with an appeal and I'm sure we won't bother.
Lee Sinnott
What goes around comes around : I remember him rolling around on the floor like a fanny to get the Crawley player walked a few months ago!
oafcprozac
As much as I think he has been a walking red card all season - it was a ridiculous decision! If that's a red, what about the Williams' lunge on Cisak last week?
LaticsChris
It wasn't a red for me, a caution for dangerous play at the worst. However for an appeal to be successfull there has to be a huge miscarriage of justice it seems, this won't be seen like that. Hopefully he'll get away with just a one match ban... He was sent off for the excessive force (which I'd argue was unavoidable in the circumstances) I suppose rather than VC.

We might as well challenge the 3 match ban because if we lose him for an extra game, the penalty for a failed challenge, then I doubt it will make much of a difference with the form he's in. Also, if Dickov has any sense we'll have a new striker when the ban is finished so we really had nothing to lose in requesting an overturn (unless there is a financial penalty that I don't know about). There's a £500 fee for an appeal. http://www.thefa.com/~/media/Files/TheFAPortal/governance-docs/analysis/section-a---field-offences-in-first-team-matches.ashx Edited December 24, 2012 by opinions4u
