oafcprozac
If he's an ounce of integrity and loyalty to the backroom staff he brought in - he'll walk….. Harsh on Dux but the ressies have been :censored: for a while. Dux is a recent legend and I thank him for all his efforts on and off the field in his two spells here between 1997-2012 Butler - Don't forget your clipboard Taggart - Don't forget your styrofoam cup Meh! JohnnyPimp
Genuine news on the official site for once! If PD resigns, who's in charge tomorrow? Corney?!

JA11K
I like this, I still believe there's a good manager in Dickov so hopefully this will bring it out in him. He will not walk, he's far too determined for that.
singe
Be interesting who he brings in, to be fair, he only bought two of those in. Glad Philliskirk is staying. From what you ahve all said, it seems mostly the right people have gone. Dux is a ledge, but very few have made the step up from Ressies to First team regular. Whether that is Dux's fault or Dickovs remains to be seen.
oafc_lover
An effort to get him to quit for free? Doubt it. It will cost us next to nothing to get rid of him.
singe
A very good assistant could do wonders for PD.

rudemedic
An effort to get him to quit for free? Won't work if he knows what he is doing. Firing 2 of the junior members of the coaching team that you brought in plus another one could mean that with a decent lawyer it is more costly than firing him. Crusoe
Seems a very odd move. If Dickov isn't performing, sacking his assistants is missing the point. I hope we don't go down the route of a technical director. An expensive exercise and unproven at this level. To me o4u nails it. It's a way to push Dickov into resigning without sacking him. Lukers1
I only said to my dad last night that this would be on the cards. Does this mean a direcor of football will be appointed?

I think that looks the most likely. Surely SC isn't silly enough to let him get a whole new backroom team in, and then run the risk of having to fire them all off if things don't improve. oafc_lover
Other than a year's salary. Wouldn't it just be until summer? So 6 months salary.
opinions4u
Wouldn't it just be until summer? So 6 months salary. 12 month rolling contract means (usually) that there's always a year left.
Tommy_Fent
Basically the fact he's got the contacts to bring in decent players has kept his job
Lukers1
Someone is definately lined up to help / takevoer first team duties. Peter Reid/ Peter Horton/Big Joe/ Stitch/ Tony P/ I'd welcome TP with open arms into the first team but I know he isnt that keen.

Didn't see this coming at all, thought the management team would stay or go as a team but if Corney's read the situation correctly this could be a innovative idea. Big if though imo.
