jbrown23
I've just had a text off my mate who says he reckons we're signing him. NO IDEA if its true or where its come from but wasn't he recently released by Ipswich? Decent signing? Strikes me as a bit "meh" if I'm honest. Anyone confirm or deny? lancy lad
Not the signing we need IMO. Done well at this level before but is now 33 and not done much for a couple of years.

palmer1
If Derbyshire is not coming back Scotland could be an option but I very highly doubt it His wage demands would have to drop massively to come here but stranger things have happened Gone from Ipswich because he is crap or does not suit big Micks style of play and days there where numbered? deyres42
Cody McDonald off to Gillingham so maybe Scotland to Cov as a replacement.

Zorrro
There's a geography joke in there somewhere. I'm sure someone far nerdier than I - say, 24hrsfromtulsehill or leeslover - will fill in the blanks.

laticdickovarmy
on a side note who would people rather have, scotland or derbyshire. Scotland for me. Derbyshire given that he knows the place is about 6 years younger and was quality for us only a few weeks back
palmer1
look on the brightside! come the Liverpool game we could line up with Derbyshire, Scotland with Baxter just behind them!!! 24hoursfromtulsehill
There's a geography joke in there somewhere. I'm sure someone far nerdier than I - say, 24hrsfromtulsehill or leeslover - will fill in the blanks. It's funny because their surnames are also the names of places - a country and a county respectively. I'll get to work on the joke. Can we make an XI out of players whose names are also places? I'll get the ball rolling. 1. 2. Justin Edinburgh 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. Matty Appleby (capt.) 9. Jason Scotland 10. Matt Derbyshire 11. I would predict a win then *now where did I put my crack pipe That would of course make sense on paper, but we'd be leaving out our in-form "devastating" striker. "He's big, he's tall, he only heads the ball - Matty Smith, Matty Smith!" I'll get my coat.

bossrocks
If we can get him for peanuts then Scotland can't do any worse than our current forwards but I'd rather have Derbyshire.
