blueatheart
£4.3k per week over 12 months Or £8.6k per week over six months. Mr. Corney, keep the gate receipts for today, keep the gate receipts and possible TV money from Everton game, but give Dickov the cash he needs to save our season. £8.6k could get us four or five players at this level and we need it. GlossopLatic
Plus the gate reciepts from today which must meant the club earned the thick end of £300k Plus the next round cash which is a guranteed full house which must be another £100k However lets not lose sight of the fact that we turned over the 5 times eurpoean champions memories like today are priceless and thats what being a Latic is all about. GlossopLatic
Oh and with Smith and Chanagama going off injured today we need some new players whether on loan or permanent we are still in a relegation dog fight and one we have to get out off. JoshOWTB
Smith is alright wont be out for more than a few days. Once we get Furman and Montano back we will be alright. Don't need any new players BUT we could definitely use another striker and a few extended contracts
JoshOWTB
Also lets get Wabara for the rest of the season please

lmfmadridOAFC
Will Wabara come back? Or is that it. I know his loan deal has ended but is there any scope to extend it??
Diego_Sideburns
Much was made on here about Corney's statement: "It is not all about money and these days are what it is all about for clubs at our level." Cast your mind back to how you were feeling during those closing minutes yesterday, reminiscent of similar minutes when Latics hung on by their finger nails to a 4-3 victory over Southampton to stay in the Premier League. A late equaliser conceded, like at Wembley with that goal, would have left everyone deflated at "typical Latics" only achieving a draw against such famous opponents. Yet ironically a televised replay at Anfield would have produced more income than a home televised game against Anfield. Brentford have effictively got through to the next round in terms of cash by getting a replay at Stamford Bridge, but their long-suffering supporters would gladly swap places with us this morning. That's what Corney meant when he said what he did. Edited January 28, 2013 by Diego_Sideburns

Cup run including Everton game is well on course to net us around Half a mill in unbudgeted income, yes we need to survive off the field but loosen those purse strings and lets survive on it too…. oafcprozac
If we somehow made it Wembley for a semi the worst we would do in total Prize Money is £1.2 Million in total + Gate Receipts from our ties and tv money from our ties. 2 more unlikely wins could probably fund our losses for the next 4 or 5 years. 1st Round £18k 2nd Round £27k 3rd Round £67.5k 4th Round £90k 5th Round £180k 6th Round £360k Semi-Final Losers £450k Failing that let's at least get a Goodison Replay, 30 odd thousand there last time
