oafcmetty
It's 1 point from 27. And it's not the first time we've had shocking runs like this - each time with a different group of players. We've even tried getting rid of the backroom staff. The one constant (apart from the board, and that's another issue), is Paul. Sorry lad, time's up. PlayItLivo
If he does go, I'd only bring someone in to see out the season, and then get some one in the summer to revamp the squad with the overpaid, under performing players shown the door (Mvoto, Simpson, Croft, Byrne, and Furman will walk anyway, the the kids, Millar, Taylor, Tarky aren't good enough, and Cisak will probably leave too). laticsfan693
Times up. 2 weeks to prepare for the big one. Now has to be the time for change Corney says it's a results driven business, so why the delay?
BP1960
The fight, passion and desire against Liverpool suggested to me they were playing for him to me. Players throwing themselves in front of anything, getting stuck into "superior" opposition. Following that with a 3-1 defeat suggest they were doing it for ITV, not for Dickov. Don't care what the players say in public about liking the manager and his preparation being "second to none" (according to Croft) they either aren't listening to him because they don't have support for him or what he's telling them is drivel. Either way, I don't think he could get this lot to start playing for him. I wouldn't be surprised if he walks Or were they playing for the cameras ? I don't think too many people give a :censored: about Dickov being in charge against Everton. The big one is every league game from now until the end of the season. Stoney
I think if we didnt have the game on tuesday that would have been it. Why wait until after Tuesday Match? - surely enough is enough - Club comes first - should be gone Monday Morning at the latest - end of. Don't think SC has the balls to do it tomorrow/Monday. Think he will make doubly sure and give PD a home game to do it. jbrown23
Its all well ad good saying "if we beat them..." or "we've got a game on Tuesday..." In decision is more damaging than a wrong decision. If we wait much longer the new manager won't have enough time to change anything, leave Dickov in and just keep seeing if he can turn it around and we'll go down. I'd rather we made a change now, tried something different and went down than keep hoping Dickov can turn us round. Today was a perfect platform for us to turn our season round after Liverpool win and we've wasted it. Now the good feeling has gone, everyones pissed off again and we're staring the relegation places in the face. Thanks for the effort Dickov but time to go fella
adamoafc
Am thinking they will sort things tonight back at BP about dickov going. There is talent in this squad and Oldham in league 2 is unthinkable!!

Thanks for the effort Dickov but time to go fella Players need time to bed in though, get used to playing ours/PD's way. This plus lack of fitness/ games from Connor Brown, Iwelumo made the job harder. Yes we lost today and yes it was really a must win but with the players at our disposal now results will pick up. Rather than now having a first 11 plus kids, we have a first 11 with several good players to call upon when needed. Furms back mid Feb, plus fully fit Iwelumo, Barnard, and Brown plus time to gel and i reckon points will pick up.
MaskedOwl
So the finger of blame is soley on Dickovs shoulders iyo? well we cant sack all the players. he has to carry the can.

The managers tactics should be built around his best players in order to get the best out of them, not forcing players to play his way. This is why the likes of Furman looks awful for us but then goes to the AFCON and plays great. The defence hasn't changed either so they should be "gelled" by now yet we've conceded
oafcforever
The manager signs the players, coaches/ watches the players train all week and then picks the team!! So who else's fault is it?? Nice guy but time to go!! The cup results don't make up for the abysmal league form!!

Stevie_J
Even as one of the biggest Dickov outers before now, I'd give him at least one more game. Today was always going to be difficult after the euphoria of last week, against fellow strugglers, a number of enforced changes and new signings. For me, the Liverpool result bought him more than one game but he needs to start getting results very soon. However, given that Corney only refrained from sacking him last week so as not to make himself look a right c-bomb, I expect this result will be the excuse he needs. I do agree with you in some ways that manager should set the tactics around the team but when that team is changing constantly through AFCON, injuries and new additions, surely it is going to intereupt the way the squad gels and plays? Can't all be down to PD

wogghead1
I think Liverpool got him a short stay of execution. I think that might just have ended it. As i have said, whilst the Liverpool result was an unbelievable one; it was a flash in the pan. We've been dog :censored:e for ages; and slipped back into that again today. He's overseen that, its his fault and he has to live & die by that in terms of his job. He should have gone ages ago; he surely has to now? Well said that man! oafc1955
Murray could have made a difference to our midfield toda,y especially in the second half......was he a Corney signing and could this have influenced Dickov's decision?
