longtimeblue
Skybet making Megson favourite for the huddersfield job, Kiwomya now favourite for Notts C job. As in Chris Kiyoma of Ipswich? Haven't heard his name since anout 1999
forever blue
Nah. In my opinion there is is only one person that can have some positive effective in our situation and that is Paul Scholes. He is an oldham lad that can motivise the current players we have got and get the supporters behind the team.Simpon Corney may have to push the boat out to get his man but this could be the catalyst. longtimeblue
Brown's just been on Sky Sports news pimping himself out. Talking about the potential at both Notts County and us. In his words "I'll just wait for the call". Hope it's not him.

Hi paul fancy managing oldham athletic you will get 10% of your current salary ( and thats when we are pushing the boat out) and 10 times the hassle oh and if you lose against yeovil expect grief "get back to old trafford yer red :censored:" Edited February 3, 2013 by GlossopLatic
bigfatjoe1
His record is poor. Crap job at Preston. He is a man with a :censored: tan and a huge ego. He loves the media spotlight, but he talks bollocks. Terrible choice. He was good as Big Sam's assistant at Bolton. In other words, a good number two (in more ways than one). Stoney
Owen Coyle? - or do you think that he is out of our reach - always liked him as a manager and a person?
deyres42
He kept Hull in the Premier League which was no mean feat. Preston were pretty much doomed when he went there and have got worse since he left. So he's a bit brash and full of himself, so what? Wouldn't be my first choice but certainly wouldn't mind if he does get the job.

carlos
Having read some comments on here, who do people actually expect to manage us? It seems like unless we get Jose Mourinho people won't be happy. At the end of the day we're a low league 1 club with not much of a budget to spend on players. Personally I'd be happy with someone like Brown who's had premiership experience and certainly won't take no sh*t from the players and will kick a few ars*s (something which the players need). Brown couldn't turn Preston's fortunes around he doesn't fill me with hope that he would turn our fortunes around also.

Stainrod
Browns win record includes managing Hull in the Premiership which is bound to bring the percentages down! Every manager has a poor spell on his record, Brown would be a good signing, surely he's got the tactical brain we have asked for

jbrown23
30% win percentage, considering he managed a pretty poor Hull team in the Premier league ain't too bad. Not that he'd be my first choice but he's not as bad as some options out there and I'd have him over Dickov!
kowenicki
Brown is a pseudo intellect. Can not stand the man. Please no. Its all about percentages with him.

BP1960
I have often seen Phil Brown at Latics matches and I think he has soft spot for the club, he will know the players and how to get the best out of them IMO.
