BP1960
One pick and one pick only, name the manager you realistically 'think' SC will hire, not necessarily who you want. We will see who got it right after the appointment.

Stevie_J
I fear that someone like Mark Crossley might blow him away in interview but I'll say Dowie. I'd be busting a gut to get Peter Houston in.

Killens_physio
I would like to have Dowie back but I just have this feeling that Phil 'Perma-tan' Brown will get it. Still better him that bloody Alan Knill.

ghostofcecere
Brown will get it I fear. I would like to see Dowie or a cheeky hijack of Keith Hill from Dogdale
GlossopLatic
The case for Dowie seems to be gaining momentum I'd welcome it even if I'm slightly surprised can only see it until the end of the season like but it should give people a lift

deyres42
Can't understand the clamour for an till the end of the season job, these players have shown that they don't need much excuse not to put it all in, need a manager who is going to be here no matter what and letting this squad know that the whole club's future is on the line. Hopefully the deal will be that if you keep us up this season, the job is yours next. That would be the ideal scenario.

I agree with this. I am not sure how a "until the end of season" manager will benefit the team in terms of motivation etc., if the players themselves know that the guy might not be here next season and it could be start-again time. Just give somebody the bloody job and let them get on with it! So, I believe he will appoint Phil Brown, who is definitely not my choice and I don't think I could take him seriously enough, I'm afraid. Would much prefer Grayson or Dowie. NewBlue
richard askam @richaskam Club not confirming but Oldham have made an offer to a manager. I understand it is Iain Dowie #oafc #latics Looks like it's going to be Dowie then. I'd rather we got Grayson or Billy Davies but we could certainly have chosen worse.
