IceStationLatic
I'm getting a bit concerned. Why would someone even put a few ppl on Sammy Lee when Dowie is the only man we've been linked with. The odds (apart from Scholes) don't lie. Is something very grave kicking off behind the scenes? Wardie
A guy i work with knows jenny warburtons dad and he says the dowie deal is as good as done. Yet, according to the 'Chron, the deal looks to be fading and Sammy Lee reinstalled as favourite. I know Corney is in New York etc., but why is it, at Latics, that things always seem to take forever and be conducted behind smoke and mirrors? Crusoe
He'll be croissant that this news has leaked out. Well, it has been a while since PD got the heave-hovis. It's time to cut the crepe, get bap to business, ciabatta Everton, and get the focaccia out of relegation danger.

Stevie_J
The Chronicle tonight reporting the deal is fading  It's clearly just based on the bookmakers' odds.

jsslatic
I've got a bet on the new manager being a former Arsenal player, so if it is Dowie then I'll be in a whole world of Petit pain.
bigfatjoe1
Didn't Matt Chambers say that Sammy Lee was not even ont he radar, or was that Mike Keegan. That's because he's so small a radar can't actually detect his presence...then again, he was always a bit of a fatty.

Diego_Sideburns
Some on here waffle on and serve up half-baked unleavened tit-bits, with hardly a grain of truth, and connect Warburton with crumpet when there's no-knead to change the recipe from Mouldy Old Dough. JohnnyPimp
Dowie won't want to come to us if the remit for next season is to avoid relegation. He'll want funds and the chance of a promotion push. Maybe TTAA (the two absent amigos) are missing the thrill of signing big cheques for little to no reward? His refusal to rule himself out of the running may be a clue and if he was to be appointed, I would see that as a major positive considering the above. However, should Tony P get it until the end of the season, I'd be equally as pleased. Let's see what the silver fox can pull out of the bag on Saturday. Oh yeah, I forgot to add...baps. Bristolatic
Are we offering Dowie enough dough to rise to the occasion, but should prospective managers be seeded, then we wouldn't be all crusty about it. Maybe he just doesn't want a slice of the action after all.
Diego_Sideburns
From another thread: “At the moment, we are looking at all the different applicants,” added Corney, who returns to Oldham on Friday. “When we get a unanimous decision from all of the board, we will proceed.” http://www.oldham-ch...793/at-the-helm
laticdickovarmy
It seems to be more than just the dough that is the issue here Hopefully the deal aint brown bread
IceStationLatic
So we're in a rush to get rid of our manager so quickly after Liverpool because of our dour league form. Yet, now, despite having fallen into the relegation zone, and there being an ideal gap in league fixtures that would have given a new manager chance to settle in, there's no rush and everyone's smoking cigars. Something isn't right.
