the_mighty_bosh
Curse it why dont you! Nope sorry if Scunny can't beat Bury who only have 2 subs after leading then they aren't winning the next 2 games. WE ARE STAYING UP!
Nohairdontcare
When, hopefully, we really are safe I'll certainly be grateful to Tony P for the points gained under his watch.

Laticacid
Slightly different circumstances pal, fear not scunny are :censored:ed, and who's to say we won't beat one of crawly shrews or orient?? Were safe
philsalt
Carry on like this and we could be on for our best placing in the last few years! Lee Johnson seems to be getting our house in order and giving some players frozen out by Dickov a chance (Miller?).
cav
I'll prefer it for us to at least get a point saturday so its beyond doubt. Hopefully do it in front of a big crowd in our last home game!
oafcprozac
A point out if next 3 and its official, that was :censored:ing massive tonight! Effort and commitment all over the park - that's all I ever ask! Thought young Belezika was excellent & Mellor - well I've been saying it all season. To those that haven't rated Smith, well that's double figures when he's spent 90% of the season on the bench. Not bad going....
AnthonyOAFC
I really do think Mellor has potential. Great win for us tonight. Think we are safe now. Can't wait for the season to be over and to see what LJ has planned.
laticdickovarmy
I had us and scunny down as draws. Delighted, we must still all get down to BP Saturday for a party though and get over the line ourselves
JohnnyPimp
We sent Hartlepuddle and Portsmouth packing with that result. Brilliant performance and wherever Matt Smith ends up, thanks for 5 of the most important goals of this season.
steveoafc
Who's the daddy??......get in!......superb stuff. One happy bunny tonight. Let's get this other point though and then I can sleep!
Oh Heck C-Beck
Dont :censored:ing jinx it you idiots! The reason football is so exciting is anything can happen, if we lose the next 3 and Scunny win 2 we are going DOWN! Let's make sure with 1 more point before cracking out the champagne eh ;)

boysinblue
Feels like a huge weight has been lifted. Not mathematically safe, but given the respective goal differences as good as. Mission (almost 100%) accomplished by Johnson. Lots of work to do over the summer though.
Latics_Fanatic
Let's not get ahead of ourselves... but, 99% certain now.

Midsblue
:censored: it, I'm on the beach now thinking if August and the possibility of playing Wolves home and away next season!
NIKI1234
Should be safe but a loss on Saturday and a win for scunny and we will all be :censored:ting ourselves again. Would be about as embarrassing as our fans invading the pitch if that happened. Great set of results tonight though
JohnnyPimp
Tonight's results have seen Crawley lose sight of the play-offs and Orient can only catch a feint whiff of them now. Looks like we'll be playing the Trannies again next season! Edited April 16, 2013 by JohnnyPimp
losesome
Only a freak set of results will put us down , How can Scunny get 6 points from their 2 games when they can't beat Bury after having a goal start. We have already put the bottom 3 down so Saturday will see the fourth added to the list . They will all hate us by 5pm Saturday
lalalajpkalala
Is Glenn Belezika the saviour of Oldham Athletic, or is it Matt Smith? Maybe Lee Johnson? Or perhaps Kirk Millar? Simon Corney or Tony Philiskirk, anyone? A slim Lee Croft or an gaffe-free Jean-Yves? Or are we surviving by the skin of our teeth in a crap league? I'm confused. Is the future bright or are we :censored:e? Amazing what a few results can do. I said it at Bury at half time. Crap, crap game between two awful teams, but if we could nick it we'd walk away feeling good about our chances. Look at us now. At the end of the day, results are what we live for at this stage of any season, and despite some major concerns at his appointment, Johnson has led us to 11 points from 7 games and pretty much got us over the line (along with the help of some top performances from a few of our key men). Part of me wanted something riding on the last game at Orient just to give it an edge, but hopefully now it'll be a stress-free day in sun, on the lash, showing the big smoke what this Northern :censored:hole has to offer, to end another turbulent 9 months in the life of a Latic.
