ZiggaZaggaAthletic
Fantastic performance!! my last of the season due to commitments and a way to end it for me. 5 points infront of scunny, miles better goal difference and game in hand! OWTB!!!
disjointed
At last a bit of passion and fight, ok we did not start too well but after 10 mins we were far better than them. The back 4 looked untroubled and Crofty was awesome, the only disappointment was another :censored: ref trying to ruin a game of football. opinions4u
Did Simpson do anything ? I thought he worked bloody hard tonight. Still :censored:, but with effort.
beag_teeets
Did Simpson do anything ? He did actually, did some niggly stuff and some good defensive work, one of his better recent performances, very professional when he needed to do it. De_La_Vega
Harsh on Simpson, it's tough out there for a right footer especially when we are struggling for fluency. Good tonight apart from the first 10 and last 5. As for ref watch - shocking miss of that tug on Smith in the first half. Appalling.
ZiggaZaggaAthletic
Did Simpson do anything ? Simpson had a good game I thought, despite his moment of ridicule when he pushed and shoved a few of there players, yet was supposed to be the role model of captain wasn't he? Think that's why he's captain as he ain't afraid to get stuck in and go nose to nose with players when needed!
disjointed
Did Simpson do anything ? He put a shift in which is the least you expect.
Frankly Mr Shankly
Did Simpson do anything ? Thought he had a good game myself. Fully committed, won lots of balls. Played in the right position.
stargazer
Lee Croft put in one if not the performance of the season . The applause he got leaving the pitch said everything. Since our so called fitness guru left the club Crofty has been transformed , boundless energy , commitment , enthusiasm .......get him signed up. For all their pressure , Bouzy had precious little to do and caught everything. Brown & K Smith got better as the game went on & confidence grew throughout. A terrific free kick effort from Mellor , another player grabbing his chance. And as almost every game in 2013 , Mvoto as solid as a rock. A job well done. stargazer
Robbie held the ball well in the second half ,and cleared a few headers from their set pieces ,one in particular when Bouzy was struggling and ....he stood up their nonsense when they were trying to get Millar in trouble , when did a captain of ours last do that ? Nowt fancy, but worked bloody hard - especially Crofty. Front to back put a proper shift in this evening - that's how to grind out a result. It's not often I've come home from BP with a smile on my face this season, but tonight I did. Wasn't even cold either........
deyres42
Korey Smith was terrific, covered loads of ground and used the ball well. Thought Barnard was better, almost no service again but never stopped running. Who needs Jose?!
byrnes boots
Did Simpson do anything ? yes he walked down the steps onto the pitch thats about it shame he cant learn from crofty in terms of effort

NewBlue
No Baxter, either. Imagine if we played with such intensity and passion with our best player in the side.... It emphasises the poorness in attitude and effort before. Anyway, we've stayed up. Lets hope LJ can assemble a team who will work all year and challenge next season! lancy lad
I thought he worked bloody hard tonight. Still :censored:, but with effort. Makes all the difference doesn't it. Has has been dodging a shift for ages but actually pulled his finger out and helped out tonight (I really hope it doesn't earn him another contract though). Midsblue
No Baxter, either. Imagine if we played with such intensity and passion with our best player in the side.... Do you think players get complacent with Baxter in the side and rely too much on Jose. He's out the side and now they have to up their own game and secure 2 games from 2 and six points. Could be pure coincidence
Magic Mikey
Simpson stayed on his feet and didn't try to put anybody in hospital, far better when he concentrates on playing football. Crofty was immense, an inspiration to the rest of the team. Windy looked like greased lightening when he came on. All round great show and our first win against a top twelve team. Happy days. oafc-latics
can't think of one player who had a bad game really. best league performance in a long time and there weren't even many chances. we didn't let them play and we got the 3 points the effort from all the players deserved. Hands on
Our best player was on the pitch. Croft. Baxter has not done so well and doesn't put in the work that our team, yes all of them, did tonight. The best result of the season bar none.
