iamjonesyyoafc
some of you might call me stupid but after winning the last two without him (back-to-back clean-sheet league wins isnt something we've achieved since March 2012) I am left wondering, does Johnson start him on saturday and if so, in who's place? Can't take any of the defenders out of the side, certainly wouldn't take Croft out or drop either of the centre two, Simmo's temporary captain so it's unlikely he'll be dropped and Barnard and Smith linked up very well tonight, so what do we do!? ps. for anyone interested, the last two were 1-0 at Hartlepool on March 20th and 1-0 at home to Bournemouth on March 24th. pinevillawill
Baxter has to start. Especially with Weslowski out. Mellor out, Baxter in for me.
lancy lad
We don't do anything different IMO. You should not change a winning team and best player or not, he should have to find a way to break back in like everyone else.
lancy lad
Baxter has to start. Especially with Weslowski out. Mellor out, Baxter in for me. Mellor out? He was one of our best players tonight IMO.
opinions4u
Baxter in for Simpson.
NewBlue
If our other players had played as well as Baxter all season and had led by example in the way he did we'd be doing a lot better. No question he gets back in the team for me. 1 or 2 games where players actually try because they absolutely have to shouldn't push out the guy who's been the best and has been the most influential all season. Simpson would be out for me purely because he's not played well, not for lack of effort.

BP1960
Baxter has to start. Especially with Weslowski out. Mellor out, Baxter in for me. Mellor played very well, so Baxter on the bench.

welshgaz
Baxter in for Simpson. Booooo. Who plays wide left then?
iamjonesyyoafc
so you'd play Baxter LM if Simpson's going off? or are you proposing a 4-3-1-2 formation? & who would you make captain? Jack Wight
I'd put him in for barnard, or just stick him on the bench
opinions4u
Free role for Baxter with emphasis on the left side (where he's delivered some decent crosses from).
LeylandLatic
Baxter in for Simpson. This.
adamoafc
Don't change what isn't broken! Mellor was outstanding tonight. Belzeika is a great talker the defence actually looked solid tonight even if he looked nervous. Crofty out of this world and matt smith another goal shows what we have been missing out on! lalalajpkalala
Baxter has to start. Especially with Weslowski out. Mellor out, Baxter in for me. Any chance for a bit of Mellor bashing eh?
opinions4u
I'd put him in for barnard, or just stick him on the bench Barnard and Smith looked like a real strike partnership tonight. It didn't quite fall kindly to Barnard, but his movement and anticipation were excellent, even if his touch wasn't.
Ross2509
For me, personally, Baxter in for Simpson and Mellor put out on the left wing. It's a difficult decision to make but Baxter has to be in that starting XI! He is our best player and our playmaker!
leeslover
I can't see what Simpson is offering from the left that Baxter wouldn't, except a bit of height. He could actually :censored: the odd team up coming in from out there, but also able to come in and play with the midfield
welshgaz
Jose has to play but we can't waste him on the left.
BenRad
Either Baxter or Mellor left mid, with the other central. Captain or not Simpson has been awful, and I would keep a player in a team for performance, not because i cant chooose another captain
the_mighty_bosh
Don't see any reason not to keep the same team. If it doesn't work and we are needing someone fresh off the bench to take the game to Crawley then I can't think of anyone better than Baxter. lancy lad
This. So let me get it right. You didn't attend the match but you are saying who Baxter should replace? Unbe:censored:ingleivable!
