If you choose to let the train take the strain it's £38.25 return, including Travelcard for the tube. Alcohol bought on board the train is permitted, alcohol purchased elsewhere isn't allowed to be consumed on the train, look at it this way: you wouldn't take your own alcohol to the pub because it is a cheaper option would you? It was only 4 cans of Fosters too. They said they were enforcing a "dry train policy". Remember my first visit to Mk Dons to the hockey staduim it was a dry train till Birmingham and once going to the Millenuim staduim with a Man U fan was a dry train also.
