oafc19
I'm sure it was mentioned as being used earlier in the season. If its been mentioned before surely it isn't unique. U-nique " Adjective Being the only one of its kind; unlike anything else: "the situation was unique in modern politics"; "original and unique designs". Yet again awful from the website and another in a long line of errors.
oafc_lover
It was mentioned for the Shrewsbury game. Which was postponed. Which will now be played tomorrow. With the unique kit. The kit hasn't been worn before so it is unique. Why not give them a break and stop looking for errors that aren't there? You look a right knob now. OAFC_Ryan
This club is a shambles. Bury think they have it bad having to openly plea for money, Stockport County have just been relegated to the 6th tier of English football, they don't have a clue how hard it is at Oldham, it's utter blasphemy that they could even think to call this kit "unique", I'm disgusted quite frankly, and I will not be returning to Boundary Park. LaticsPete
The 1946 -1948 kit was quite unique, which one of all these do you prefer ? http://www.historica...am_Athletic.htm You are old enough to have had a proper schooling so shame on you. "Quite unique" indeed. Something is either unique or it's not. I'll put it down to early onset dementia.

oafcmetty
"Quite" can also mean "very" in ye olde/ posh English. Can't be "very unique" either - it's either unique or it ain't.

I'll put it down to early onset dementia. I must correct you dear Pete, I haven't forgotten my public school education ; From the English language and usage website; Is “quite unique” correct? Answer; Yes, this phrase is acceptable to native English speakers. One of the meanings of quite is to the greatest possible degree, therefore it can be used with a non-gradable adjective like unique. Other examples are quite delicious or quite amazing. Edited April 22, 2013 by BP1960
