2002/03 Crude VHS Highlights

When you take requests, have you got Nick Henrys "goal" at Maine Road.

I chucked all my home compilation tapes years ago, tons of stuff from 89 to 99.

Yes I have, the quality is poor but I do have it, they looked at it in depth on MOTD live on the night and it was a mile over the line!

Video 24 the one that most are waiting for, sadly the pitch invasion isn't shown...

Stockport County 1 Latics 2 - February 15 2003 (The day Beckham got a stray boot in the face)

Didnt realise at the time what a scruff Onesize looks with his shirt hanging out, does he still wear it like that does anyone know ? And apart from shootouts did he take any other pens for us ? Why did he that day ?

Presumably because David Eyres got sent off. Fitz scored in the Burton shootout IIRC a few weeks before.

I walked from BP to Edgeley that day. One of my favourite ever away games. Great day.

Beckham boot - I remember Giggs missing an open goal that day and everyone pissing themselves in the pub as it was the early ko game.

He is absolutely mental. Always bladdered. My mate (a latics fan) lives in Leeds. We have been on a few nights out there and met him in Chappel Allerton a few times. Last summer he randomly started showing us all ladyboy porn on his phone, then tried blagging a table at my mates wedding (which was the next day).

On the plus side - he will buy you a drink. On the negative side - he will try and grab your balls.

I've seen him around Leeds a few times.

Loves a gay bar happy hour.

We should have gone up that season. Little did we know the club would get ripped to shreds at the end of it and still be in the third tier ten years on.

This division has never been as strong as that year, during all the years we've been down here, I don't reckon. We were better than the vast majority of sides I've seen at this level before or since and then Wigan, Crewe, Cardiff, Bristol City and QPR were bloody good sides too.

Never since that season has over 80 points been required to make the playoffs (and in most cases not even close to that figure).

Had we gone up, would Chris Moore still have :censored:ed us over?

Interesting Question - discuss.

I think so but perhaps, as a second tier club, there would have been a greater level of interest in acquiring the club.

Was the story about Moore getting a young lass pregnant and his missus filing for divorce, being the reason he buggered off, true?

According to what Dave Ogden posted the other day, yes.

I'd think so too, his money was electronic money based on an over-valued company, which wasn't that good. I'd be interested to note how many repeat contracts T***x got, especially in the NHS. He was never going to be able to sustain it, so without the rumoured personal issues he was going to screw us over eventually anyway.

Oldham going bust in the Championship would have been a more attractive purchase though.

I did hear that he actually brought the club for his good mate who wanted to be involved in running a football club. His mate died from Cancer and Moore's heart wasn't in it after; not that it was too much to begin with.
