GuyGermanLatic
For those who remember, what was the general opinion on the 96-98 kit when it was released?
rudemedic
Hmmm. I've seen worse, but I've seen a lot that are considerably better. Hardly original and certainly not traditional. Does it remind anyone of a Puma copy with that contrast shoulder flash? I'm thinking Reading, Wolves etc that have Puma kits. It does now that you mention it, see Newcastle away this season. Forte_Baby
I said earlier this year Blue and Tangerine looks nice like the white patch but be nicer if the FILA logo was not on that spot. But no real complaints. Edited April 30, 2013 by oafctom
rudemedic
For those who remember, what was the general opinion on the 96-98 kit when it was released? God awful, only time I've known a petition to get rid of a kit. Especially as there was more red stripes than blue ones.
Zorrro
Centered badge, tangerine, massive white bit on the shoulder = rank. This season's is much nicer. I couldn't give a fig about it being original, unique or traditional. It's just got to look nice, and it fails miserably at that.
AndyGortonsMatches
Without the rubbish sponsor graphics, the kit would be just passable. With it, my money will stay in my wallet, even if it was on sale for a fiver.
Latics_Fanatic
When's it on sale?
LaticMark
Slightly more Royal Blue... Not as good as LF's design. http://www.owtb.co.u...pic=42150&st=40 Another view The shade of blue is much better than this season's, but I'd prefer blue shorts with white socks. I'm not keen on the central badge or the one-sided white flash. But, each to their own!
gavinodriscoll
I like it, going to be my first latics shirt for years
philliggi
The white flash on the shoulder looks ridiculous, the rest of the kit looks like something out of sunday league. not for me. but i wouldnt give a :censored: if they wore it winning promotion
OAFC_Ryan
When's it on sale? 31st May
oafc_lover
I also enjoy how the club used pretty much the only three players we have left under contract to model it... When our players model the kits I wish they wouldn't smile like 3 puffs. I want to see a look on their face that shows they mean business. But that's nit-picking. The kit has definitely grown o me in the last few hours. I will be buying one and taking it to Oz with me.
adrianpshaw
It's just a kit, if you don't like it don't buy it. This whole lack of identity :censored: is bollocks, any excuse to moan. The could wear replica united shirts next season for all I care so long as we have a team who puts in a shift and plays attractive football. I'm with Gary, I too like it, but if I didn't, who would care?
pinevillawill
Looks like an ice hockey shirt. Last year's shirt was my first purchase in years. I'll be keeping my money in my wallet this year.
opinions4u
Too much in the way of Fila logos. They should be more subtle.

If it's blue and white, Im not that arsed. The only one I hated was the blue and red hooped monster.
HarryBosch
Does anyone know how much we usually make from shirt sales?
Fervid
I would say quite a lot considering most football shirts are made in the arse hole of nowhere for about 5 quid.
deyres42
Does anyone know how much we usually make from shirt sales? Clubs have all sorts of different agreements/contracts with suppliers so profit depends on that, but cost price of an adult shirt is about 17 quid and a kids about 13 quid. Schlieb
I really like it. First shirt I'll have bought in years!
Lookers_Carl
Personally preferred last years but prefer this to the 2010-2012 kit. In the same way many on here associate Latics with the blue/white Ajax style, to me, the all blue with burgundy/white trim is what I associate with Latics (e.g. Similar to the 2002/2003 all blue) so kind of sad to see the current home strip go so soon
mikeroyboy
Much better for me. I didn't like last years kit at all. 'Latics' blue is the way forward.

AndyGortonsMatches
Club pay about £14.50 per shirt - straight from our (in)glorious leader I paid only a fiver for my white kit last year from WAL, ie the one below. Nice profit for the club there.
