OAFC_Ryan
From Killie FC forum ........ Sad to see James Dayton saying goodbyes at rugby park yesterday, talk of him joining lee Johnson for three times what we pay him at oldham, Gros tipped to go too. two players we could be doing with keeping but money talks!! 3 times? I thought SPL clubs were fairly well off.
LeylandLatic
3 times? I thought SPL clubs were fairly well off. Yeah but they're Scottish so they aren't giving any of it away...

Canada_latic
Maybe we are offering 3 times as many cans of mckeowans and a bottle of scotch as a win bonus.

LaticsPete
My favourite player in the Scottish League is Gary Mackay-Steven but he's well out of our league. Yes he's in the Scottish League. Sorry

Stevie_J
Can the club afford two players for each position? Even more so two on first team wages? Given that we've been told the playing budget is to shrink yet again, of course it can't.
shefflatic
of course we can - a few established players and the rest 19-23yr olds who have a point to prove, want to play under LJ and do a yeovil on not a lot wages-wise. A lot of you will be suprised where certain 'names' end up - the big bucks just aint out there anymore aside from maybe the championship - hundreds of players released who if they want to play professionally will have to accept lesser wages we will get a number of decent players in purely because they will have little choice wage-wise. rudemedic
Bouzy/Cisak/Jacob Brown/(Wabara)(Sutherland, who I think was given a pro deal mid season) Grounds/Mellor Tarky/Byrne Mvoto/Bez Furman/Winchester Wes/Youseff Croft/Millar Montano/Hughes Baxter/Simmo Smith/Taylor Add in Derbyshire/Barnard, Obita, Murray, Iwelumo, Slew, K. Smith, Reid and the likes of Gossett, Cooper, Truelove we did it last year and I can see our first XI being on cheaper wages without Simmo, Furman and Croft next season. jimsleftfoot
It's worth saying that Latics spent more in the last season than in the previous two seasons which suggests that we could still actually have a half decent budget (for us). byrnes boots
Perhaps his old mate Jamie Cureton ? would he be his assistant?
oafc-latics
Cureton got 21 goals for Exeter this season who finished 10th in League Two, could be a decent shout to get 10 at League One? obviously not to lead the line but similar to Byrne he will still score at L1 and might be the type to help with the coaching. Cureton was a class act. Was it him and Hayles at Bristol Rovers when they beat us 4-0 at home? Ran the show. Wouldn't be chuffed at the prospect of him coming as a 37 year old though.
