Lags
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22612870 Eddie Howe not quite the miracle worker I thought he was............that's a lot of money on top the break even figure. The next question should be, if the Cherries were to enter into admin in the near future, what would an adequate punishment be?
Crusoe
Yep. Gives lie to the idea that "speculate to accumulate" is a wise and prudent way to run a football club.
pukka
"The accounts pre-date Howe's return and subsequent investment, but Bournemouth's promotion could be worth up to £5m in the second tier next season" That may mean they break even?
4froale
id hate to see how much they have spent this season, I don't think £5 million will come near the amounts spent over the last 2 seasons
ZiggaZaggaAthletic
One club who is going to make a MINT from promotion to the championship is YEOVIL! Promotion money, tv money, bigger gates. If they budget well and if they stay up 1/2 seasons, they good become financially stable for the next decade. I hope LJ and the club aspire to what Yeovil have done and take a leaf out of their book

Definitely a lesson that applies to us! As for Bournemouth, any team that has a capacity of under 10k and, as they did against us, has a bench that they spent £2m in transfer fees on should be concerned about who is going to pay their bills. rudemedic
Didn't Bournemouth spend massively in the Jan 12 transfer window? Fairly certain they paid £800k for Tubbs from Crawley and he has hardly played for them. They have that Russian bloke backing them and are looking to expand Dean Court for the upcoming season. They could be loosing money now, but a few years in the Championship could see that being turned into profit.
Forte_Baby
Pretty sure Howe was quoted recently saying he would not be held to ransom by players. Be interesting considering they almost went under a few seasons ago. Guessing bigger crowds and away followings next season will generate extra income for them. c.hill12
I heard lee barnard was on £18k a week at saints and bournmouth paid 100% of this for his loan down there. We paid 10% i believe.
