Ricardo fuller rumour?

Recommended Posts

Just had a look on the ezine and one of the lads who posts on there (and is usually spot on with the rumours) reckons we could be signing Ricardo fuller next week. He would certainly be a good signing for league 1 but will his wages be to big?

He also reckons mvoto is off to Charlton.

From Charlton's forum:

'Fuller showed us some glimpses, but he's nearly finished and his wages don't justify that level of performance.'

I doubt we'd meet his wage demands also apparently has property in Staffordshire and would like to move back to their which make Port Vale interested.

As for the player himself, with 2 very quick wingers and Baxter threading passes through we either get a tall striker who can head it, or a rapid striker who can latch onto Baxter's passes and be in the right place at the right time for crosses. Fuller doesn't fill either of these categories really. If I remember correctly he prefers to play a little deeper and shoot from further out. Then again, if we signed him on a decent contract he could probably do a job in the league; he just might not fit into the sort of team LJ hopes to create.

Charlton have only just released Bradley Wright-Phillips - I'd definitely take him.

On his day, Fuller should tear this League apart. It's a case of how many "days" he has. He's worth a punt if his wage demands can be met as long as LJ sees him as fitting in to his plans.

As for Wright-Phillips, as an out and out striker? I think we're OK for wide players, so a possibility. He certainly fits the pace attribute that LJ is looking for.

Bradley Wright-Phillips would be an excellent signing, currently having a trial with new york red bulls though.

Bradley wright Philips is better than Shaun

Scored 2 good goals for Plymouth that day

Would have him in a shot

Was working in London a couple of weeks ago, spoke to a charlton fan, who thought brentford were in for him, as he'd been there on loan

No, he isn't

Both average players at best these days.

Shaun was a great talent in his early days at City, went to Chelsea, hardly got a game, :censored:ed his career progression up, but probably not his bank balance.

Bradley has always been fairly average being honest.

Of course because Bradley has spent his whole career in the Premier League with numerous caps for England....

This was a song that the Plymouth fans sang at the game that we won 4-2, and he scored 2 goals that day

Just referring to that, though Shaun does seem to have gone off the boil since moving to qpr
