longtimeblue
A goal every 3 games. Not shabby if he also brings others in2 play. If he is 1st choice i'd expect 35 goals between him n jose If they get 35 goals, we'll make the play-offs
Simpo
Had a little think about this signing, he compliments what we already have. We have lots of players with little experience of this level, MacDonald brings plenty. Sometimes a game is lacking tempo and work rate, and apparently MacDonald works hard and pressures the man in possession. Get the feeling he'll be a good presence in training too. The fact he's moved up north, accepted a 1 year deal, and won't be on a mega wage speaks well for his character too. I suspect the other offers he had (mentioned in the Chron) were League 2 sides, but he's still keen to play at a high a level as possible. At worst he's a flop, we play our other strikers instead, and he leaves. At best, he's a new Paul Warne. Good low-risk signing. Still room for Robbie Simpson. Haha, speak of the devil... Robbie Simpson @RobbieSimmo6m What a great signing for #oafc ... Charlie Mac is a great guy and will defo be a fans favourite!
welshgaz
Forgot they played together at Brentford. Simpson should be a fans favourite with his talent. But sadly not. Always be a favourite of mine. Chin up Robbie.
PlayItLivo
He knows where the net is and 32 ain't exactly ancient for the type of striker he is. Happy with this, rated him for a while, he's made of the same ilk as Neil Harris and Gary Alexander. They know what it takes in this league. bigfatjoe1
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=PbErLZ7-IeM If that's as bad as he gets then I'm quite relieved...seen a lot worse than that.

slystallone
Just seen the news. Pretty happy with this. Experience at this level; apparently a good character and from the games i've seen him play against us; he's an honest work-hard player with goals in him. All in all, not blown away but pretty pleased with this.
