Latics_Fanatic
Don't know if anybody has spotted this... http://www.itv.com/sport/football/update/2013-07-23/foxes-release-wellens/ Trained with us over the summer, but strongly linked with Doncaster. HarryBosch
Him training with us has to be bollocks. Somebody would have seen him and got us all excited about it, surely?
Stevie_J
Him training with us has to be bollocks. Somebody would have seen him and got us all excited about it, surely? This. Of all the many ex-players who are mentioned during every pre-season, I would love to see Wellens back in a Latics shirt though.

It's a weird one, but we know ITV are famously :censored: for sport coverage. Is Wellens past it?

If he wants to get fit it'd make more sense for him to train with us rather than with DRFC.
adamoafc
He was at the Liverpool and Everton home games. I was the one who asked if he was coming back to which he responded not yet. Surely if he wasn't he would of just said no? Wouldn't surprise me if we did have a chance.

Also, if it were true, there must have been a few sharp intakes of breath when he told the other players he was maybe joining up with Dickov
WIZZO83
Wes out Wellens in!!
slystallone
Amazed if he had been training with us that it didnt come out. He's a Championship standard player and Doncaster are a Championship side. i'd give my right arm for him to sign for us (im left handed, i dont need it!!) but he'll stay in the Championship, and if he's not exactly flush with options, Doncaster is better bet than waiting it out... Roger Ritchie
Does he still live local? Might be a reason he was training with us for fitness.
