ZiggaZaggaAthletic
Not to dampen the mood on a cracking result nor purposely bring a story from the grave, however is LJ going to get an assistant? Murray looks like he is fitting the bill, but I worry we need an experienced head alongside LJ before we are further along in the season. oldhamathleticmad
It was mentioned in the meet the manager section, however, LJ says that he doesn't need one. Muzza will be first team coach and will basically do the job of AM Edited August 3, 2013 by oldhamathleticmad
welshgaz
I'm resigned to not having one.
Lukers1
Id say an ex legend is a perfect number 2, Murray will be a good addition
Libertine
I'm resigned to not having one. Do we really need one . At least LJ seems to have a clue . Dickov didn't have a clue and he definitely needed one
welshgaz
Not when we are winning. My opinion will soon change of course. Edited August 3, 2013 by welshgaz
mikeroyboy
I don't feel as though it's a false sense of security I have, but if there is a problem with anything, Johnson is onto it. That includes the defence.
al_bro
I don't think we can afford one now. The budget's spent, that's if management is included in the wage cap.
slystallone
I can see the merit in an "experienced old head" assistant manager. But, Murray has great experience in the game. Granted not for long as a coach, but still vastly experienced; including time spent playing abroad. With Murray, Steele (and ex pro), Mimms, TP and MP in the youth set-up, plus Cliff Byrne, LJ has plenty to call on in the backroom set-up. c.hill12
LJ said him and his backroom team had 400-500 appearances each and he didnt want to upset the blend he currently has. He offered the job to someone experienced but that never materialised but he has since seen muzza at work and trusts him and the other staff
Lee Sinnott
Do we really need one . At least LJ seems to have a clue . Dickov didn't have a clue and he definitely needed one Oh yeah, let's turn it into an anti-Dickov thread...
