LeylandLatic
the reason this year will be a higher attendance... £5 for the younger and older, £5 for the ones who got the 2 for 1 offer, last years game against sheff wednesday was on TV and £20, and we had a crap manager setting our team out to try and see out games once 1-0 up... there is an air of optimism now and that will surely see at least a few more fans To be fair we actually played really well in the first half of that game, some really good attacking football. We were playing some top football at that stage. As I said at the time, Dickov's failiure to react to Dave Jones' tactical substitutions cost us the win....Sheff Weds reacted to going 2 nil down & made 2 changes which included formation changes mid game. we didnt do anything different and it cost us. But, giving PD credit where he deserves it, for the 1st 30mins, we looked top draw. Shame it was just another flash in the pan.

MAC0AFC
course it was a fact they had better players.. was just emphasising the fact dickovs tactics never changed that game and wasnt the only time

longtimeblue
I am optimistic of there being over 5000 tbh. Don't think there were 5,000 there for the last league game it was £2 in (with season ticket holders). If there's 4,000 that's reasonable given our attendances over the last couple of years. St92
Home stands are near enough full and with the capacity of the RRE taken off the total that's about 5800, call it 5000 home fans plus derby fans of the looks of it.

rudemedic
Nailed it. 5000 dead on, apparently! Judging by how full the main stand was, and I presume the paddock too by the fact that some fans needed to be moved from there to the Chaddy, 5000 was not a surprise to me.
