beag_teeets
The Club are looking for a tenth legend: http://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/news/article/20131004-bricks-1094653.aspx#uBRIJQJStMWt3VHA.99 Has to be Big Frankie Bunn for me. He was the catalyst for the good times in the 80s and 90s.
rvlatic
I think the obvious choice would be Joe Royle.
HarryBosch
Very difficult... Rick Holden Alan Groves John Sheridan Herbert Bamlett George Hardwick Neil Redfearn ??
HarryBosch
I think the obvious choice would be Joe Royle. I've got no problem with having him in there twice Edited October 4, 2013 by HarryBosch
Latics_Fanatic
John Sheridan for me. But Bunn is a great contender, as long as it's not Harry!
OAFC33
How about someone still involved with the club - Tony Philliskirk.
oafc-latics
It's between Colbeck or Parker for me... But if they gave it to Kevin Betsy, I wouldn't complain. EDIT - On a serious note, Philliskirk is a great shout and would be well deserved. Edited October 4, 2013 by oafc-latics

LaticsChris
A pre-war name should surely be in there. I'd go with David Ashworth, the club's first manager who started off the first set of 'pinch me' years! Saw the club to an FA Cup Semi Final and gained promotion to the first division, managing a few top half finishes including a 4th place. Herbert Bamlett finished second in his first year, but Ashworth gets the nod for me. Edited October 4, 2013 by LaticsChris

k.beese
I cannot believe that the LEGEND that was Alan Groves is not top of this list!!! Although I admire all 9 on the list, several (in my opinion) are not in the same class as Groves. Philly is also a good shout - excellent servant of the club - been there through good times and bad - legend in the making!

Philly is also a good shout - excellent servant of the club - been there through good times and bad - legend in the making! I think in this list Groves is a victim of the need to spread the legends out across the eras. The only player on the list I remember seeing is Eyres (I may have seen Ritchie but don't remember at all, I'd have been too young) and from what I've heard Groves was a miles better player than him. If we didn't have him though young bucks like myself would have a list of ten legends we have no recollection of.

the_mighty_bosh
Phil Starbuck I was going to say Starbuck, but you'd need to remove one of the current list of legends as well in order to fit him in. #fatboy

Stevie_J
Jack Rowley. Sheridan's a good shout (more so than Eyres) - without him we'd have been playing League Two football for a good few years by now. And Bunn.

Forte_Baby
Gonna be interesting for the younger fans those 19 years below to them Eyres and Shez are the big two, for me Redfearn is my favourate all time player, with Richtie and Royle. Never got to saw Groves but based on what everyone has told me clearly was that hidden gem in a current climate would be righrt up there at the top.
