MAC0AFC
never been brentford before only been to charlton and southampton down south really, but would you travel from Manchester Vic/Piccadilly straight to Euston or is there a closer train station to brentfords ground? Forte_Baby
Basically get to Euston, tube to Waterloo train to Brentford (about 40min) its a 5-10min walk from the station once at Brentford pub on each corner of the ground and there is terracing behind the goal. There moving to a new staduim in the next couple of years which will proberly kill what is at the moment my favourate away trip in this league. There is a tube station near by cannot remember the name of it but you walk past a dual carriageway.

Forte_Baby
so it's manchester Piccadilly to Euston and then two tubes? do you pay for the tubes in advance or? Manchester to Euston-Waterloo(tube) Waterloo to Brentford or go to South Ealing on a tube that takes longer. Click on the link on the orginal post says the prices if you dont mind being flexible and going into Central London afterwards i suggest the superoffpeak return ticket which includes all your travel in London. opinions4u
Or get the Victoria line to Vauxhall and pick up the train there. That's my usual route. I might even stand up at Griffin Park this year. By the way rail users, if you buy food and coffee from station concessions get a Bite Card and save yourself 20%. It works in bars too. https://www.bitecard.co.uk
MAC0AFC
if you get the victoria line to vauxhall... is there a train from vauxhall to brentford station then? and might have a look at that bitecard too!

You change from tube to overground at Vauxhall. Same train that you'd have got at Waterloo. Dead easy. Cuts a corner off the journey

rudemedic
The advantage of changing at Waterloo is that if you are unfortunate enough to have a long wait for the train to Brentford, Waterloo is a much better station to wait at than Vauxhall; ie. it has a pub. This is compounded by the fact that some trains to Brentford from Vauxhall take much longer than others and so you can be better off getting a later train. There is better one just outside smaller bit of an underground building for the life of me cannot remember the name of it.

leeslover
Or get the Victoria line to Vauxhall and pick up the train there. That's how it'd do it. Waterloo is hard enough to find your train from when you half know what you are doing.

24hoursfromtulsehill
Victoria Line > Northern Line to Waterloo. Plus you should all get Oyster cards for travelling in the Metropolis. It costs a fiver but is always cheaper than travel cards.
