scorpiofc
Took charge of some secret training, with the following opinion apparently? "I asked Paul, in a private moment, to be honest with me about the lads and their ability and he was sincere when he said that he'd watched Oldham play a couple of times this season and he thought that many of our players were technically their equal" Seems a little harsh to compare us technically to a conference north club? Mullet
Does anybody actually believe that? Even if he did say that it's clearly bull:censored:.
iamjonesyyoafc
technically equal to the youth team maybe?
milnrow latics
He might have said it because you aren't going to be undiplomatic and say they are rubbish if asked directly. I have seen quite a few lower league players as technically good as some of ours. The difference is they haven't got the speed and power
Matt
I have seen quite a few lower league players as technically good as some of ours... Ollie Banks was ace. Snapped up by Chesterfield.
Oh Heck C-Beck
Even if this is a true story I would fully expect some of their lads to be technically as good as some of ours. You need more than technique to be a professional footballer though.
JonesyOAFC
Love the concept of "Secret training" WTF is that no lights on? He had to deliver his instructions in morse code
pinevillawill
How dare Scholes compare us to Stalybridge Celtic. Red prick - we're not that good.
Gaz_Oafc
Im sure I saw Scholes at the match today.
palmer1
Technically Staylebridge got beat by Leamington today so f*%k em!
rudemedic
Im sure I saw Scholes at the match today.I KNOW I saw him. The evil look he gave Kavanagh because Kavanagh was blocking Scholes' early exit reminded me of him in his pomp. As an aside Matt Smith had better billing compared to Scholes, Smith was in the directors' box, Scholes wasn't. Simpo
I believe Scholes sitting with the fans is out of choice, as he was in the players' lounge. Young Chris Sutherland took the chance to meet him

Young Chris Sutherland took the chance to meet him He was in the exec bit of the main stand, so still had access to the player's lounge. Gaz_Oafc
There again today in the exec bit, had a young lad with him who looked similar to Larnell Cole from utds youth team (could be someone completely different).

rudemedic
According to Latvian Eddie, Scholes has started becoming involved in our training now. Either that or Latvian Eddie has gone on loan to Staylvegas.
opinions4u
@JOKSTINS: Pols Skoulzs ne tikai atbalsta mūsu komandu, vērojot spēles, bet sācis arī aktīvi piedalīties treniņu procesā. Visu cieņu leģendai! Meaning: Paul Skoulzs not only support our team, watching the games, but also started to participate actively in the training process. All due respect to the legend! disjointed
What a great way for Scholesy to work on his coaching skills, it must be more satisfying if he can bring about a improvement in our lot given his love of the club.

The lad has made a massive contribution to the club. Paul Scholes is just a fan like everyone else.
eyres_28
Fantastic if he has an influence on the lads. We know a few are Utd fans which will play an even bigger role for the likes of Tarky. We all want him involved, and even if it is just for snippets like this it is definitely worth it.
