b0ndl1ne
Last won in the league on 28th September. Potential banana skin if ever there was one. Oh and Paul Black cant get in the
Hands on
Don't worry the Monkey who used to manage us has left! In Lee Johnson I trust.
pukka
If we believe we are too good for them, we will come a cropper. If we are professional, take it seriously, but know that we could get beaten if we are not up for it - we should win.

Oafc88
Well with a stat like that and our current good form it has Mansfield 1-0 last minute all over it!
Tommy_Fent
I say that if you have that typical Latics feeling then place a bet on it, it's not bad support in my eyes, just Insurance to consolate the dispair of us failing to make the 3rd round
disjointed
As long as LJ puts a pretty much full strength side out we should p**s it. Although I would definitely give JCH a rest and start with Rooney up front alongside Charlie Mac if fit, if not, Danny P.
lancy lad
*takes mockers off* I'm already looking forward to the annual Liverpool game. Nah, we are going to give a young and egotistical Citeh side a smashing this year, with 10,000 Latics fans watching on at the :censored:ihad! disjointed
Can the loanees play in the F.A.cup tie? Yes, I am pretty sure Plummer said he was looking forward to playing against Mansfield, whether QPR will let Petrasso play I dont know. disjointed
Have Latics got 10,000 fans? I would have thought so Diego, just most of them locked away in the wooden recesses.
c.hill12
We'd only get around 7000 tickets for city i assume with the 15% rule?
jsslatic
I'd always been keen for away matches at the bigger sides for the days out but after last season I've done a 180 turn and would much prefer them at BP. A giantkilling at a full, boisterous and freezing Boundary Park trumps doing it in a bigger club's backyard for me. Not that I'd been complaining either way! Anyway, feet on the ground. There's some comments on this thread (not including my own tongue in cheek one above of course) that are very reminiscent of those on some of our victims' forums over the past year or so. Latics_Fanatic
Old Trafford has always been the draw i've wanted. Getting one over the "old enemy" on their patch would be quality.
slystallone
I'm worried actually. This fixture has a plucky 0 - 1 away win written all over it i fear...
Lee Sinnott
I'm worried actually. This fixture has a plucky 0 - 1 away win written all over it i fear... It'll be one of the most comfortable victories we've had in a very long time. They can count themselves lucky to even share the same pitch as us. It's the Chesterfield game that worries me... leeslover
I take full responsibility, I have gone into extreme goading mode with my Mansfield friend who lives in York to come over.
Mullet
Like Lee says, we'll batter them. I'm going 4-0.
pukka
I'd play Rachubka Lanzoni Kasunga Grounds Plummer Schmeltz Wes Rodgers Dayton Rooney Charlie Mac (if fit) - Philly if not ----------------- JCH has looked tired recently. 3 games in a week coming up again. He'd be on my bench. Perfect chance to give Tarky or Grounds a rest. Rooney needs goals. A great chance to get some here. Korey has played every game (I think) & Id put him on the bench. Only other one to possibly rest is Dayton, but Id rather start him and possibly bring him off if we are comfortable.

jimsleftfoot
We need to come out fighting, if not they will and it might end badly.
slystallone
I wouldn't mix and match too much at all. In resting players - keys players in Smith & Tarky (from Pukka's post) - it sends a message that we dont need to be at out very best. Complacency breeds from those types of messages and before you know it, you're out of the cup to a lower side. Start pretty much the same 1X as Sunday, then make subs when the game is safe. The only exception i'd make to the starting lineup is JCH - as i agree; with him playing the full 90 on sunday; i'd rest him in this one and play Rooney instead. Saving JCH for the Chesterfield game...
pukka
Maybe smith and Tarky shouldn't both be rested on reflection, but we have a lot of games coming up. At some point Smith especially is going to need a rest. I think I'd be doing it in this game. At some point the Rodgers / Wes partnership needs a game too, incase of a suspension / injury. It worked at Wolves in the cup, another game wont hurt it. With kusunga suspended - Tarky for him. It's only 4 changes. The keeper (we have done this in the JPT anyway), 2 up front and Rodgers for smith. All 4 of them would be on the bench. Diego_Sideburns
I've sent the Ernie Flag details to Mansfield for inclusion in the programme, in the unlikely event of a replay.
