Latics and England
I had assumed that I would be able to get a ticket for the away end from the Mansfield ticket office tonight but it appears not. I gave them a bell earlier to ask if they would be selling tickets but they said only for the home end. I will not know until about half four whether I can get away from work in time so it seems me decision has been made for me. I understand that they don't sell tickets on the turnstyle but don't understand this at all. Latics announced yesterday that we were stopping selling tickets just after lunch today so I assumed that was so they could take them over to be sold over there. Can these clubs really afford to turn people away? Very frustrating but guess I will have to make do with the Blue Belle.
Monty Burns
Just go in one of the home stands.
jsslatic
It's absolutely bonkers. I saw on their forum they'd only sold 1,500 as of Friday. You can get a ticket from their ticket office before the game. If you're desperate perhaps get a ticket in their end, play dumb with a steward and see if he'll move you. Risky though. youngen
At Charlton 2 years back, a couple of lads got in the home end as they werent allowed in for juniors in the away end. They went straight to the nearest steward and said 'oops, weve come in the wrong end mate, can you escort us to the away stand' Transferred immediately. I've done that loads of times when its cheaper in the home end, never had a problem. I've also watched as a 'neutral' from home sections. I would never let this put me off going, just the fact I cant afford it!!!
vendman
We did that once at Arsenal and a copper asked a steward to let us through and he refused. Nearly got battered when Sharpy scored!!

So does every fan of a club in League Two have to buy tickets in advance, if they're intending to go to Mansfield? Ridiculous. One thing you can't knock about Latics is the their efforts to accommodate away fans..
jsslatic
The poorly written match preview on the Fishal says ticket office is open until 5 if that helps (the suggestion, I presume, being you can buy tickets until then), although that is at odds with what they've said in other articles about tickets being available until 1. Lincoln Blue
Five of us were going to go from Lincoln. However, with the Christmas post we couldn’t guarantee that tickets posted from Latics would arrive in time. No tickets available from Mansfield, so were watching it on TV. They have missed out on £100 from us. How can they run a club like this?
