disjointed
Looked destined to have a great career in the game then accidents and injury conspired to cut his career short. Life can be cruel, enjoy the good times whilst you can. RIP.

lancy lad
According to a County fan I know has died this morning.Awful news, just seen it on FB from someone I know who lives in Stockport. Remember his debut at Sheff Weds and he was gone to Liverpool in no time. Had he been ill for a while?

BP1960
I remember watching his rapid progress from the youth to first team, but for a serious injury he would have gone far in the game. R.I.P. http://footballslostprodigies.com/2012/06/26/coming-soon-wayne-harrison-the-original-wayne-rooney/ Edited December 25, 2013 by BP1960
BP1960
If this is true a minutes silence at Anfield before the F.A.Cup tie may be appropriate. Edited December 25, 2013 by BP1960
GlossopLatic
If this is true a minutes silence at Anfield before the F.A.Cup tie may be appropriate. Or applause it would be very appropriate
opinions4u
Silence if it's unexpected and early in life. Applause if they lived a full life, or dazzled and died early. Silence for Wayne IMHO.
longtimeblue
Don't remember him playing for us but remember the benefit game against Liverpool at BP. Agreed with the minute's silence though, played for both clubs so would be appropriate.

underdog
I just started watching latics just as Liverpool whisked him away. Did he not score a peach of a goal from the half way line? Shame
PlayItLivo
Wouldn't question Tom's validity at all 'cause he ain't a bull:censored:er and this has been put on Twitter @fessitwentyfour: @mickquinn1089 "Quinny. Sad news today, my neighbour and ex #LFC player Wayne Harrison has passed away today. Thoughts with his family. RIP" A minutes silence is fitting, he was still relatively young. As someone said above, the minutes applause is better in a more appreciative sense for someone who hasn't died as tragically (that sentiment is really poorly conveyed in words so my apologies), like a Bobby Robson. Someone who fulfilled their life's ambitions. Standing silent in these circumstances is far more respectful, IMO

ajjovek
Was randomly chatting to my Liverpool supporting mate 2 days ago about Wayne Harrison and now this. It was in reaction to the rumours about Tarky going to Liverpool. His reaction to my text "last player Liverpool signed from Oldham? Wayne Harrison?" Bizarre and very very sad if his death is true. Dave_Og
That's desperate. Met him on a SAFE day and just seemed a decent working man. Could easily have been bitter about how things panned out

stargazer
Very sorry to hear of his passing as such a young age. A goal machine in reserve football , he must have seriously impressed Liverpool (then the Kings of football in England and Europe). To have all his potential and not be able to fulfill it because of injury a crying shame. RIP Wayne
