Pure Elvis 1977
Living and working on Merseyside brings me in contact with plenty of Liverpool fans . I heard that latics fans were singing hillsbrough songs on Sunday . I find this hard to believe . Can anyone confirm they heard anything. For what it's worth I saw plenty of latics fans taking photos etc of the hillsbrough memorial

youngen
Not a peep of Hillsborough songs in the ground, whether anyone was outside of the ground I dont know. Edited January 8, 2014 by youngen
#dickovout
Absolute rubbish. We only sang two songs all day owtb and Andy ritchie's magic. Typical scousers making stuff up to whine about.

4froale
heard nothing, are they trying to justify the knifing I wonder?
Postman Matt
Always the victim's them... Over the past 3 years playing them as seen me lose total respect for them as a club, from the Tom Adeyemi incident, to the stabbing of a fan and now they are making accusations up. Get fooked YSB
oldhamains
They're talking :censored:! Probably just one idiot making up crap, it would of been all over twitter if it was true. Tell the person who said it they're bellend next time you see them.
Monty Burns
Unless they count always the victims or murderers, he's lying. I would also like to think that any idiot starting up a Hillsborough song would be quickly silenced by those around him.
slystallone
We did have a higher than average quota of bellends in the away end on Sunday, but even with that said - I highly doubt any Hillsbrough songs were sung. There's a line, and I think (& hope) most people realise where that is. I did hear a few small efforts at the 'always the victims' chant, but nothing more than that. Get fooked YSB To be fair, LFC dealt with the Adeyemi situation very well (for all they failed to deal with the Suarez/Evra situation with the same class) and some horrible dickhead stabbing someone should not be used to criticise the club as a whole. rudemedic
I didn't hear anything like that, and good too, songs about Hillsborough (and Munich for that matter) have no place in football.
pukka
I didn't hear anything of that nature. It's always easy to say "there wasn't anything", when in truth - there could have been, just not where I was. I didn't see anyone stabbed, but there was. Indeed, my guess is that there probably was something undertaken by a minority which is being complained about by a minority.
Lags
Never heard any Hillsbrough songs at all in my area either. Nothing changes at Anfield way back in 1977 as a 13yo lad I had a knife pulled on me. Never forget do victims!!

FFS, there must have been wel lover 100 'escorting' us back to our vehciles that day. Kicked the :censored: out of a couple of lads (with dads). Absolute bastards that day. Don't know if it's been mentioned, but the week before a Hull supporters coach was attacked qand smashed to pieces. Some things don't really change. leeslover
The OP didn't say it had been heard in the ground, that can't have happened or someone know here would have heard. As pukka says there's no saying that it didn't happen elsewhere. I haven't heard it since some random Scots started it in Oddies after the Transfer game this season
ChaddyKid
Mate of mine (Latics Fan) said he heard Hillsborough chants after the game. He was at some pub a bit away from the stadium near to where the guy got stabbed. On another note I spent the whole day in Liverpool and every fan we bumped into was brilliant and extremely hospitable.

For sure, always made me laugh there after when the big European nights came on the tele and commentators heralded the scousers great supporters. I also recall a latics fan (mid twenties) being taken down with a motorbike chain around the head near to the coaches and gangs setting on small groups all the way back. As I say at 13 yo it stays with you.
