BP1960
Got the idea from another thread, who do you think were the Latics best ever penalty takers ?

rudemedic
Liddell, because I think Redfearn may have missed one and put a lot, if not all, his penalties the same way.
Latics_Fanatic
Liddell. Never missed a penalty at professional level, IIRC.
Markspark92
Soon as Liddell walked up to take a penalty you knew you'd already scored was class
laticsrblue
Easy - Liddell, fantastic record, never missed a penalty.

perfectOzblue
Sir Andy Ritchie was usually brilliant...which is what made his miss at Reading which helped send us down to the hellhole of League One in 96/97 so painful.
slystallone
Shez or Lidds for me...

BristolOwl
Bobby Johnson was superb, he invariably scored after aiming the ball against the inside of a post. Goalie had no chance.
LeylandLatic
Rooney
JoshOWTB
I seem to remember Rueben Reid taking a lot of penalties, did he miss many?

LaticsPete
Whittle or Liddell for me. Different styles but both very succesful
BP1960
Did Roger Palmer ever take penalties ?..with the number of goals he scored you would have have thought so.
palmer1
Don't think he ever did. Not from 85 onwards anyway

Flemboy
Liddle
Stevie_J
Liddell was the best I've seen. As soon as the ref gave a pen, and we seemed to get a lot while he was here, we'd as good as scored already. Richardson staggered run-up was entertaining, as was Baxter's dink (save for the miss against Bournemouth).
One-Size
I remember Fitz Hall stepping up in the last minute when no one else wanted to, to give us a 1-0 win. Can't remember the opposition but it was a good penalty.
