Latics_Fanatic
After today's clean sheet with a Tarky-less defence, do we particularly need him back? Don't want to get ahead of ourselves, but if we can carry on what we did today, we shouldn't need him. Big IF of course.
pukka
As cover.. he shouldnt start. We should be going on at the back with the players we can build with.

simplythemostimportantkick
Somebody was clearly needed as back up whether that should have been tarky I don't know let's see cos that's what we've got
Ross2509
Obviously can't really comment on whether we NEED him back with it only being off one game but i would say i'd like to have him back, with Kusunga injured i would play Tarkowski alongside either Wilson or Lockwood. Just because Tarkowski has bossed it so far this season and also it's not really like a loan signing in terms of him being new to the club, he will just slip straight back in. GlossopLatic
Yes but it wouldn't hurt if he started next Saturday on the bench. Edited February 1, 2014 by GlossopLatic
pinevillawill
Terminate the loan, if you ask me. He's not our player anymore and will play no part in our plans for next season. Let's work with what we've got and try and build for the future.
jsslatic
Of course he should be back if possible but Wilson and Lockwood keep their places on Saturday.
laticdickovarmy
I'm amazed at some of these comments 100% have him back
lookersstandandy
....from..... Shut the club down, the end is nigh.... As we sell Tarkowski for less than the £1m he was worth..... To..... We don't need him, send him back. Ridiculous.
Ritchierich
Absolutely not interested in any Brentford players and I don't want him anywhere near our starting XI
pinevillawill
I'm amazed at some of these comments 100% have him back It's a tricky one. Tarkowski won't be happy sitting on the bench. But at the same time, Lockwood and Wilson will feel a bit miffed to get dropped after keeping a clean sheet. Especially when the player they're getting dropped for might not be around in a month. welshgaz
Nope. Don't want him.
OAFC_Ryan
If we change that defence from today to fit in a Brentford loanee I'll be fuming, all of them deserve their place.
dannyboy55555
Absolutely no we shouldn't have him back. Also, why on Earth do Brentford not want him to play having signed him? Can only assume it was a condition on our side. I wish him all the best but him rejoining on loan benefits no party.
PlayItLivo
Until we're safe from relegation I wouldn't say no to having a player of Tarky's quality in the squad.
Alec1954
After reading his comments on the Brentford site (Brentford??????) I wouldn't let him anywhere near the club.
palmer1
Having just read it I can't see anything wrong on the Brentford website. What have you seen? And if you think he called us a stepping stone read it again!
oafc-latics
Absolutely not interested in any Brentford players and I don't want him anywhere near our starting XI If Tarky hadn't moved yesterday and was still an OAFC player, would you still not want him anywhere near the starting XI? Yesterday it was a travesty to lose him and today he's suddenly turned :censored:? Surely getting him back on loan gives us a bit of continuity and lets the 'new' back 4 have a few weeks to train together. If anything, that shows more building for the future than throwing a new defence in straight away. (But fair play to them, a clean sheet in their first game is promising!) Blu-Blood
He did say we gave him a stepping stone on his video interview that I saw. Anyone signed up to Latics Player can watch the interview on Brentford's equivalent. I don't think the back 4 should be changed after today. I wasn't at the game but having listened to the commentary and read the reports, I see no reason to change anything next Saturday unless we get injuries during the week. Tarky remains a quality player but he should only be on the bench next week. If Brentford then get the hump and recall him, so be it! palmer1
We did give him a stepping stone....nothing wrong with that, is there?
Blu-Blood
I never said there was anything wrong with that no...I was just putting it out there that is was said, because your previous post suggests that he didn't.
palmer1
Sorry, What I meant to point out was his phrasing. Some on here will read it and twist it as him calling Oldham a stepping stone, that not what was said we offered him the stepping stone, big difference
