shefflatic
Neil Adams http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26916661 Good luck Neil, before my time and only have videos and his spell in the team under AR (still put in some great balls even if his pace had gone) to go off, but a latics great nonetheless MOTD should be interesting anyway! Break The Silence
My favorite ever latics player. Stitch and palmer took all the headlines down the years but adams and co made it happen. And he scored the winner against man u I remember that like it was yesterday. One of the best nights of my life. If I hadn't mentioned it before, I hate Manchester United with every fibre of my being.
Stevie_J
Good luck to him. I have nothing but love for the likes of Adams and the other members of that Joe Royle side.
Dave_Og
Came to the OASIS promotion dinner back in 91 at The Rugby Tavern. Quiz Question 1: Who is the oldham's most accurate crosser of a ball from the right wing? A: Rick Holden with his wrong foot Took it in good heart and then went off to a nigh club with his very pregnant wife.

Dave_Og
His 45 yarder at The Goldstone Ground lives in my memory. I was halfway through shouting something along the lines of "WTF are you doing shooting from there" when it hit the net

beag_teeets
His sale is the reason we are where we are now, when Big Joe stopped playing with two wingers and tried to play a more negative style of football we started to decline and that led to our relegation. I hope he does well at management, massive poisoned chalice he's been given there but if anyone has experience of pulling of a great escape it will be Adams. A great player and a legend but one that JR constantly subbed and dropped. Maybe it was him leaving along with the sale and decline of the rest of that great team which were the contributing factor in 20 years of misery. But, cracking little player; and had it not been for the maverick on the other wing, he'd have probably been my favourite player when i was a wee nipper. Good luck him

slystallone
I was Always, always Rick Holden when me & my mates played kick-about and we pretended to be real players. To give it realism, I started heavily drinking at 10 years old....
