oafc1955
I would sooner have my Grandad, who has been dead for 20 years and was also wheelchair bound, in the team... Thats not nice at all.

singe
Andy RitchieTo be fair, I am not sure Andy Ritchie could be correctly described as prolific. 80 in 180 in the League is 1/2.6. Its fntastic and instrumental in our comparative success. Andin 4/8 in FA Cup is good, and he was prolific with 18/18 in the League Cup But I am not sure that reaches the prolific status, in my view. And most importantly he scored on the big and important occasions!! And prolific if compared to the past 20 years! And take nothing away, a legend=pure and simple. oafc1955
He squeezed an extra 5 games in in those 2 minutes. Actually it was 91 in 214 if you count his 2nd spell. Christ he was an exciting player and really rapid his hatrick on his second debut against Southampton was the stuff of fairy tales.

BP1960
One of my favourite players of recent years Beckett, proper striker. The art seems to be in cases like Beckett to look for a young prolific goalscorer from the lower divisions who has stepped up to Championship level, but never got the chance to prove himself. He then steps down a grade for a knockdown fee and resumes scoring again...any forgotten men like that today?

leeslover
Beckett was toss. He scored a lot because the entire team was set up to give him tap - ins. Nobody else scored when he played, ever.

simplythemostimportantkick
Yeah that Linekar was rubbish and don't get me started on van nistlerooy, only scored bagfuls of goals from inside the box because other players passed them the ball in the great positions they got themselves in. Hope your fishing mate and I'm catch of the day, as IMO Beckett is the best natural finisher we had in the last 20 years even above Hughes for me
Blu-Blood
Yeah must be really :censored:e being only scoring tap ins eh. Try telling that to Miroslav Klose!
leeslover
No, I really think he was :censored:. Compare to Porter - other players scored more when he played as well as scoring himself.
