mart1973
Don't get excited though. There was a piece on 'match analysis experts' employed by clubs, who analyse all aspects of their player's games. Every goal, pass, shot, tackle, etc is filmed (even in training) then scrutinized afterwards to see how the players could improve their game. They even scrutinize their upcoming opponents (surprise surprise) for things like past formations, injuries, tactics, etc. Anyway, AFC Bournemouth were the subject of this article & when their goalkeeping coach was interviewed, his particular recollection was their game at Boundary Park in March 2013, when Jose Baxter's 'Dinked' penalty was saved by Ryan Allsop & they carried on to win 0-1. They had definitely done their homework on Jose & it eared them 3 points. Knowing how thorough LJ is, I was wondering what lengths our club goes to in this field. It obviously works & 3 points can make a massive difference in a season. Bournemouth employ 3 of these experts.

There was another team this season [Walsall I think] that studied penalties taken by Adam Rooney and he went the same way every time. His penalty was saved and could well have been his last kick for Latics... Doing your homework is very important, Billy was doing the video analysis and what not early season, don't know if that's still his role in the club...
