AndrewCooper
Today was a reasonable game and my brother in law and 4 of the family came up from Notts as they are fans . I have been watching Oldham for 40 years and was watching on my own from behind the notts team dugout only able to watch approx 10 games a season due to work commitments and a shift work life style ,there is many a conversation in are household about the family all going on match-days but today was a vindication of why i don't bring my young family ! i know football is a extremely passionate game and believe me i am not easily offended but Greg Abbott's behavior and in particular his choice language is an example of why football will never be a family spectacle. every second word was effing and jeffing and more pressing aggressive and confrontational he was an absolute disgrace!!!, and frankly embarrassing. How can the football league and in particular at the games the officials not do anything about this , how do they expect families to come and watch and enjoy ? How can a player on the field be able to control his emotions when those who are coaching him have no regard for the individuals around him and watching fans. Why do non of the officials take task with this and deal with it ?, is it acceptable for this behavior? I don't think im alone with this opinion perhaps if the powers that be were brave enough to deal with this or at least may be oldham be brave enough to actually enforce via their stewards a zero tolerance on certain behaviours in a dedicated part of the ground perhaps more families as a whole would attend ? ooooh roger palmer coops
ShakerT
Try the Family Section in the Chaddy, no dramas or bad language there.
jimsleftfoot
I do wonder why swearing is tolerated by players and management. Though as shaker said, the family section is much better for that.
stevesidg
Sit behind either goal , and not behind the dug out and you'll be fine Take your daughter for one game with a £10 season ticket and she'll be hooked for life.
Stoney
I understand the point you are making - but also given the situation for them at one the point in time was if they lost they were relegated - guess it is a bit hard in that position with all the stress to keep the all the emotions under control - wonder if he is like that every Saturday or just this one given the situation. JohnnyPimp
Greg Abbott's a narrowed-eyed tosser every time I have the displeasure of seeing him.
LT_SMASH
I couldn't understand it either yesterday. The forth official just stood there while he was shouting at members of the crowd to to f#ck off with real red faced aggression. Later that that game Tommy Wright gets set to the stands for contesting one of the many refereeing decisions

Meanwhile both technical areas were encroaching on to the pitch - derry in particular was almost running the line!
Frankly Mr Shankly
Hearing bad language is part and parcel of life. You just need them to understand that bad language is for adults and very very naughty for children. The Easter bunny and Father Christmas take a dim view of children who use naughty language. After that it's :censored:ing fine.
slystallone
1st time i've ever seen a 4th official not be with both benches. To stand at the top of the steps is surely not performing his job properly? Derry actually obstructed the Linesman at one point he was out of his box that much. Greg Abbott was always a gobby sod when he was Carlisle boss; but it seems he's kicked on a level now he's in an assistant role for County. Derry's a turd too. They deserve each other tjose 2. We'll have the pleasure again next season too now as well...
oafcmetty
He's a fat :censored:. I had pleasure telling him as much as he was leaving the pitch for the final time. He'd didn't like that much.
