oafc_lover
I seem to recall a couple of years back mention of holding concerts at Boundary Park. Could this be something we can really press on with when we get the new stand finished or has the idea gone by the wayside? The extra income generated from it could potentially be huge if done properly.
Latics_Fanatic
January 2012 it last came about. http://www.oldham-chronicle.co.uk/news-features/8/news/65783/biggest-names-in-music-could-star-at-boundary-park Noel Gallagher would have been a cracker, he could probably fill it 5 times over though. al_bro
I doubt it's an option now because of the new stand being where the stage would have been. Besides time for a concert would be very limited, and would need to be held before work starts on the pitch.
Magic Mikey
Rod Stewart played Old Trashford once and Taggart blamed him for ruining the pitch.

ShireBlue
Pun intended? I originally wrote 'A partner for JCH?', but it just scared me.
UpTheLatics
Inspiral Carpets were talking about an Oldham gig only a few weeks ago. It was a nice exclusive for the Chron actually.

Saw them at the Ritz last year (minus Tom Hingley). Left a lot to be desired.

Fair point, the neighbours would kick up one heck of a fuss!
opinions4u
Lower key gigs in the stand would be an option.

Diego_Sideburns
Elton John's due to be announced any day I guess that's why they call Latics 'The Blues'.
danoafc
Saw them at the Ritz last year (minus Tom Hingley). Left a lot to be desired. I know he wasn't the original singer, but for me, Hingley's voice IS the Inspiral Carpets (along with Clint's keyboard). Just doesn't sound right with the new/old guy.
