Wozzer
Suarez defence - slipped, fell and banged his teeth. If it wasn't so funny it'd be tragic. Otherwise known as the Howard Wolowitz defence.

24hoursfromtulsehill
Spectre of match fixing rears its ugly head. Not so much a spectre as an elephant in the room. It'll take some seriously clean goals to beat Brasil before the final - unimpeachable 30-yarders and the like.
jsslatic
Not so much a spectre as an elephant in the room. Ivory Coast too, then.
Crusoe
Love how Chris Waddle is rocking the pasty, poisoned post-Soviet oligarch look these days. Very now.
deyres42
The two best games of the tournament being played tonight, Colombia to snort past Brazil and Germany to surrender to the French.
disjointed
Ruthless efficiency, Germany will take some beating, the goalkeeper looks unbeatable.
deyres42
Porc of a game that, very disappointed with the French, not sure what the thinking was, Remy should have been on a lot earlier.

slystallone
Refs have been diabolically pro Brasil all tournament. Yep, they've had a lot go in favour of them, in particular that Penalty vs Croatia. Its always better when the host nation stays in the tournament though, but i do get the feeling that "the powers" really do want a Brazil win in the final. Looking forward to the Semis now; each promises to be a cracker. I still stand that this is by far the best World Cup i've seen; its been fantastic
Stevie_J
Brazil are going to struggle with nay more Neymar. They've been embarrassingly reliant on him.
ShireBlue
The conspiracy theorist in me can't help but think that FIFA will have done everything in their power to get a Brazil vs Argentina final. Hope the Germans and the Dutch spoil the party.
rudemedic
The conspiracy theorist in me can't help but think that FIFA will have done everything in their power to get a Brazil vs Argentina final. Hope the Germans and the Dutch spoil the party. Worth pointing out that the only hosts to get to a final in 26 years are the French. The World Cup final doesn't need the hosts in it, the World Cup as a whole however, does seem to need the hosts to get quite far though. Can see the Germans winning, especially against Brazil without Neymar, but also just as significantly, Thiago Silva. Germany v Holland is the equivalent of Argentina v. Brazil for the nations concerned though.
