Midsblue
Signing Adam Armstrong from Newcastle would be an excellent signing. I've asked opinion from some Toon supporters and they said he's small - 5'8" - but a quality striker who's like a Michael Owen type. Pacey, small, great positioning and a fox in the box player apparently with 10 from 12 goals for England U17, Downside is Championship teams are interested in him but Ipswich, who led the pack, have pulled out because the lad is only 17. However the fans said his age is misleading as he's quality and can compete in the senior team easily and definitely down the leagues. Unsure if Pardew perceives League One as too low for the player but hopefully owners from both sides can strike a deal following the SD sponsorship. bigfatjoe1
**POTENTIALLY RACIST POST** All these strikers/wingers look a bit samey One's fat, one's like a feather, one is fast and the other is injured.
PlayItLivo
Not sure why Forte would join us, he's probably first choice striker at Southampton as it stands!
ShireBlue
Forte didn't play ANY first team football last season. A bit worrying.
oafc1955
To be fair they had a very good side last year...if he'd got into that team we probably wouldn't have been in a position to sign him anyway. I'm hopeful that when he's fully fit he'll prove to be a big player for us this season.

Diego_Sideburns
According to the rarely a deal has been agreed and he will sign tomorrow. It actually says a contract has been agreed in principle and he's expected to complete the formalities tomorrow. Hope that revolving door has been removed!
