SavageTheBeast
No bye in. The eastern section could play Mansfield Barnsley notts county Bradford or York also Chesterfield and Scunthorpe. Anyone reckon it will be 4 years in a row Chesterfield knock us out? Edited July 30, 2014 by SavageTheBeast

ShireBlue
Bury get a bye and Rochdale are in the western section, whilst were in the east. Hmmmm.
oldhamoafc
I'm normally a fan of progressing in this competition, but I hope we get knocked out in the first round this year.

ShireBlue
Rochdale is further west than Oldham. Ah true. Just. Apparently byes are worked out by a draw.
opinions4u
Ah true. Just. By the width of a 409 bus. Apparently byes are worked out by a draw. That's what shoved us over the hills. Excitingly, vanishing spray will be used! http://www.football-league.co.uk/johnstonespainttrophy/news/20140730/vanishing-spray-set-to-appear-in-johnstones-paint-trophy_2293332_4043278 Edited July 30, 2014 by opinions4u

the_mighty_bosh
Shrewsbury in the 1st round last year was great as it gave me the chance to get to a new ground, on the cheap, when I wouldn't otherwise be able to get to it. Plus we put in one of the most dominant performances that I've seen in the flesh. So my opinion of the competition has gone up a bit. Saying that there's no way I'm going to a game in the North-East section and if we go out in round 1 then I wouldn't be arsed in the slightest. I enjoyed the JPT last season. Midweek football, £10 in and a chance for some squad players to get a run-out.
