midnite315
I know for past few home games the stewards have been quite over zealous in the Rocky road end but today I witnessed that the stewards come over asked us to sit down in a profesional and respectful manner

underdog
Ye gods....if correct he was in the chaddy taking a photo of the penalty in the RRE? What a zoom he must have had and slow shutter speed too for that penalty Come on now...who on here has taken a couple of sneaky ones....I have last lot was the Everton FA cup game at home. And with mobiles these days, how can you police taking photos? Yikes... Edited September 11, 2014 by underdog
HarryBosch
The rule is in place to prevent people selling unauthorised photo's that rights have been sold for - yet another example of a rule that's there for extreme circumstances being enforced to the letter by the club. "Club officials say their hands are tied by Football League rules, and they could be fined if they allow pictures to be taken." This line has Barry Blatter's stamp all over it. I reckon he's mortified whenever these fines don't actually materialise, (i.e. never) Edited September 11, 2014 by HarryBosch

LeylandLatic
I can't see how this copyright claim for all pictures or videos taken at a football match would ever stand up in court, it's absolutely mental.

Chaddy_Ender
Rule 24 is quite interesting it basically covers the fans image rights and ends with, Entry into the ground is confirmation that all persons have consented to such use of their image. If these images should feature an individual prominently the Club will make reasonable efforts to gain the consent of that person before publishing such images, however, if this is not possible, then entry into the ground shall be deemed consent unless the club is notified in writing to the contrary. Effectively the club would be :censored:ed if they wanted to take film or photo of any individual who has removed consent, 200 or 300 letters removing this right would throw a spanner in the works and make it very difficult for the club to post any official images. Matt
Have you read the Human Rights Act? I've read about half of it, but I get the general gist. Don't tell me. Does it turn into a Lee Child novel? Seriously though, I've never had to use it, although if I did I'd probably give it a more thorough read. For what it's worth. I assume you are familiar with section 27 where the Police can remove and hold someone for 48 hours without any offence being committed? No evidence needed, just on a 'feeling'. Where are the rights, or priveliges, of honest football fans being caught up in this nonsense are taken away. The reason for this legislation? Football hooligans. The simpletons who think its fun to smack other simpletons in the head at the expense of the game.
