HarryBosch
Who was our last player who was as good one on one with the keeper as Forte is? I can't think of anybody. He's lethal.

blueatheart
Beckett? It didn't happen because I jinxed it at half time but I did wonder who the last latics player to score a hattrick at home was.

MAC0AFC
Beckett? It didn't happen because I jinxed it at half time but I did wonder who the last latics player to score a hattrick at home was. Robbie Simpson, Chesterfield 5-1/5-2?
longtimeblue
His touch for the second was quality. Exceeded all expectations (which are instinctively low in truth) already.
Lee Sinnott
Robbie Simpson, Chesterfield 5-1/5-2? Incidentally, I think Lee Johnson played in that game...
daveoafc77
He got away with the first one, took an extra touch and was lucky to get it through the keepers legs. But I take your point, you do fancy him to stick them away when he bursts clear
blueatheart
Incidentally, I think Lee Johnson played in that game... Unused sub. Jonathan Grounds played though.
oafc-latics
Forte got 9 in 100 for Scunthorpe. Got his 10th in 12 games for us tonight. Sign him up.
disjointed
I hope Poleon learns a lot from watching him, he doesn't panic in front of goal, just calm as you like. 10 goals from a striker already, who would have thought it.

Handsy
He reminded me of Roger Palmer with those two finishes especially the 2nd tonight hope his knees last all season he could fire us to promotion
Careca9
best player in front of goal we've had for a long time. from tapping in at the back post like at peterborough to just passing it into the net tonight from a through ball he will do really well all year and he's a good age so knows what its all about. if we keep him fit he could get and awful lot this year
slystallone
Said the same thing at the game after his 2nd. It's a weird feeling, but - when he's clean through, you just have confidence in him finishing it. 2 more smart finishes from him, and 10 goals by 21st Oct is a great return; especially as he's played a number of his games from wide left. Fingers cross his glass knees stand up for the season. If they do, he'll be a shoe in to reach 20. A 20 goals in a season attacking player for us? Wow - it's been a while! astottie
He reminded me of Roger Palmer with those two finishes especially the 2nd tonight hope his knees last all season he could fire us to promotion That is a brilliant comparison. For both chances I had no doubt he was going to score.

oafc1955
Don't you think the fact that he usually only plays an hour or so due to his dodgy knees may have something to do with it!
