BP1960
Got kicked ten minutes before the interval. He was poor in the previous 35 minutes, I don't think the manager was pleased at all.
dec666
I'd hardly say he was poor, he's had absolutely nothing to work with in the last two games.
slystallone
He's not been as he has been previously these last couple of games. Has he had the flu that's gone around?
b0ndl1ne
LJ did say a few days ago he was thinking of resting him for the Crawley game. Whatever the reason for that May have contributed to his performance today
rictic
For me Forte doesn't look comfortable up top.
deyres42
For me Forte doesn't look comfortable up top. 9-10 goals from left midfield, off the boil since being moved, there's a question to be asked for sure.
Gaz_Oafc
If he wasn't injured then he should have stayed on the pitch. Doesn't matter how quiet he was first half, he's top scorer and only needed that one through ball and he's in.
BP1960
9-10 goals from left midfield, off the boil since being moved, there's a question to be asked for sure. On the left probably doesn't fit in with the preferred diamond shape, hence played up front. I doesn't take teams long to suss out systems. De_La_Vega
Definitely better using his pace coming in from wide for me. We're missing a trick moving him out of that channel.

Do you change the system to the detriment of your top scorer ? it''s something for LJ to ponder.

BP1960
The manager criticised him before today for recent under par performances and my feeling was that the first half was the same. The diamond shape does not suit him and like Poleon he's looking a frustrated player. Edited November 15, 2014 by BP1960

slystallone
Were we not playing the diamond when we played Coventry and he tore them a new one, scoring 2 goals? Why does a couple of below par performances from Forte, when he could have had the flu bug or be struggling with a minor injury, automatically draw a conclusion that our very successful recent tactics have been "sussed out"? Blue_Guru
Anyone who plays fantasy football regularly that strikers generally have peaks and troughs in form...Forte has had a great scoring streak surpassing everyone's expectations...I think he is due a couple of poorer performances without being subject to criticism...anyone who expected him to score a goal a game is kidding themselves

leeslover
I've been wondering if he's playing up front he spare him the amount of running he does out wide.
Blue_Guru
He will get less room to stretch his legs up top vs out wide that's for sure
BP1960
Got kicked ten minutes before the interval. He wasn't injured according to the manager. I wonder if he is losing faith in him after some quiet games?

Chaddy_Ender
On the left flank, but the diamond shape doesn't allow for that. He was such a threat on the left flank it seems crazy we cant accomodate him into a system that gets the best out of him, against much better teams away from home he caused no end of problems for opposition defences down that flank he just doesnt look comfortable in the current system and we have managed to nullify our main attacking threat which seems very strange.
