astottie
Not bad. If he's fit that is. well i'm surprised at that. I assume he starts on Saturday then and Etheridge is shelved after one game. LJ obviously not happy with Chub's recent performances.
NewBlue
With the old Paddy Kenny in net we would be a few points better off than with Rachubka. The current Paddy Kenny...:censored: knows.
BP1960
Maybe, but personally I'm not in favour of these sticking plaster loanees, we have three professional keepers on the books already, it cant hep morale.

Lee Sinnott
Rachubka has been one of our weak spots all season. I'm happy that LJ has identified it and, if he's half the keeper he was (albeit twice the size), then we've a very good keeper on our hands... Postman Matt
Goes back to the idea that Rachubka wants to concentrate on coaching always felt even this season he was a stop gap.
daveycrow
I hope he has lost weight, he was fat when he left Leeds at the begining of the season

4froale
he's been at Bolton for a couple of months now so I'd imagine he will of trimmed down a bit, I don't think LJ would of signed him if he didn't think he was up to the job. This could be a very good bit of business.
b0ndl1ne
Bye bye Etheridge at the end of his contract. Paddy Kenny was a right fatso in pre-season. Can't help but think he's nowhere near as good as he was otherwise we wouldn't have him
sjk2008
Anything to give Rachubka a kick up the arse. Still think he'll start on Saturday though with Kenny on the bench. If there's another error, then Kenny will waltz into the team.
BP1960
According to LJ Etheridge was due a burst of 2 or 3 games, looks like that bubble has soon burst.

the_mighty_bosh
Can't say I'm convinced by this signing. Mainly because Rachubka has had more of a positive effect than a negative one since coming into the side, and because we also have Etheridge on the books. But Kenny has pedigree and if his fitness isn't an issue then I can see how he could be an upgrade. Maybe LJ is expecting a squad overhaul in January anyway and is trying to squeeze the most out of the next month. But I'm concerned that the defence could end up being unsettled by this. oafc1955
Looking at Etheridge on Tuesday he didn't really cover himself in glory. His distribution was poor and his kicking wasn't too good. I thought his command of the penalty area was lacking also and the 2nd goal by his own admission was his fault. He made an absolutely brilliant point blank save in the 2nd half but most goalkeepers have that in their locker these days. Having said all that he could be good back up to a No 1 with a little more experience. Can't see how we could afford Kenny on a permanent deal so what happens in January? All in all a really surprising capture.
