Markspark92
Can imagine he's a bit pissed off about that, feel sorry for him, he left a comfortable and secure job here and took the risk of entering into management and to be only given 6 weeks in the job is a bit of a joke really, clearly last nights result meant a lot to them. Can't see him back here now we have Holden would imagine thier is no room for another coach on the wage bill. Hope this doesn't have an effect on the lads today
Lee Sinnott
To be honest, even if he'd won all his other games in charge, he should still be sacked for getting beat by Blyth Spartans...

Come on Lee, it's a bit like saying Brendan Rodgers should have been sacked after Liverpool lost to the Latics. it's the FA Cup which always produces shocks, IMO Hartlepool have given a hasty knee jerk reaction. Chaddy_Ender
He does come across as if he doesnt give a :censored:, downbeat in interviews is not the word, may be great on the training pitch but as a manager your having a laugh. Humiliated on National TV and lost a lot of local face. Might have been understandable if they had been doing any better before Murray arrived but they hadn't. And your judging his managerial ability on what? A) a month or so in charge his persona in front of the camera, which he's likely to be getting used to as a manager. Related to the Hartlepool board or something?

Simpo
I can't believe anyone is defending the sacking of Paul Murray! When will the people in charge of football clubs realise that the way to get ahead in this business is to plan in the long term, and let their managers get their vision in place? Look at the teams currently overachieving in England. Burnley, Brentford, Bournemouth, Oldham etc. Clubs that don't sack their manager at the first sign of trouble, have the framework of a long term plan. When Muzza went there I wished Hartlepools all the best, now I wish them good riddance from the football league. I feel for their fans, they must be down in the dumps right now. peanuts
work around the north east on a regular basis and know two pools fans who both say he has a near impossible task as the club both on and off the field are a basket case similar to stockport a few years ago .muzza had identified a lot of the on the field problems according to them hes just tried to change to much to soon .apparently he watched videos of the preceding six games when he took over and identified six players he wanted to buck up or ship out and he let them know it unfortunatley five of the six have the chairman's ear so aint gonna happen

laticsrblue
Ironically, had goal line technology had been in place they could still be in jobs today. Nah,, the ball wasn't all over the line. But still a daft decision to sack him.
slystallone
Mindless decision. I mean, outside looking in; they look in bad shape off the field as well as on it. Less than 6 weeks is no time at all to do anything of any note for any manager, Murray or anyone, to try an arrest anslide that's been happening for a while. Feel sorry for Muzza, and hope this doesnt affect his career moving forwards...

Hopefully, Muzza and Donachie will get a decent pay-off.
