jsslatic
http://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/news/article/away-ticket-news-barnsley-2136875.aspx Starting to get a bit silly this 'only in advance' thing, the article suggests they will be available on the day. And 800 tickets is a load of crap, that stand is bloody huge. So we'll get more tickets before/on the day, but presumably because South Yorkshire Police want an idea on numbers, we have to go through the hassle of queuing/buying tickets in advance just in case they don't lift the restriction. disjointed
If there was a discount to be had for buying in advance fair enough, but as said that stand must hold 6000.

Chaddy_Ender
It does hold 6000 and is given exclusively to away fans, initial allocations this season have been 2000 but more are given on request, is it that difficult for the club to paint the full picture when it releases information on away fixtures. blueatheart
Whilst it is over Christmas, it is still a normal working day. There are not many places we would take 800+ to on a Tuesday evening.

NewBlue
This whole 'the club have been allocated 800 tickets' :censored: is misleading. The away end at Barnsley holds 6000, and if we could take 6000 they'd open it all up without hesitation. Tricking your own fans is unwarranted and ridiculous. For Sheffield United they had maintained tickets must be bought in advance, which I couldn't get, until the Friday the day before the game when it was revealed to be pay on the day. This allowed me to go to the match but cost me over a tenner in train fares that I could have saved by booking in advance had I known just a few days before that it would be pay on the day. deyres42
Only justification for this is if we are getting a % of the money for the tickets sold through us, otherwise it is nonsense.

Been to Millmoor on Tues before now when we've taken 1300, but I don't expect us taking many more than 800 to this.

pukka
Will depend on results. Lose the next 3 and 500 will go. Win them and 1200 will be there.

Remember us drawing one Tuesday night Dowie second season after the play offs I think it was sure we took well over 1800 that night
leeslover
People do get their knickers in a twist ....I don't know Pete, it does seem pretty needless to make people go out of their way for this one and no doubt some people won't be sure of getting away from work/family in time.
